Vehicle Detail
Here is a REAL Hot Rod!! The body is a brand new all STEEL 1931 Ford roadster body. The frame rails are brand new 1932. The crossmembers are also new. It is 95% complete, needing only the interior finished (which comes with the car) and a few minor items. Body; New Brookville Steel Body, STAINLESS STEEL windshield frame and posts. Frame; New ASC Rails, new crossmembers Engine; Rebuilt 383 c.i. small block chevrolet. 1972 350 block, 400 crank, 10 to 1 compression, 1971 heads (Z/28 or Corvette) Comp cams Thumper Cam. Engine has been completely rebuilt. 1966 GM Holley intake, with a custom aluminum intake on top of it (made by a local craftsman, you will not see another like it, a mini tunnel ram), 2 Rochester 2G 2 Barrel carbs, 350 cfm ea, rebuilt. Sanderson headers, and exhaust. The engine sounds incredible with the Thumper cam, (it will sit in the chassis and rock slightly at 1200 rpm,) The two 2's give it an old school 'ring' when opened up. It sounds, and goes like an OLD HOT ROD SHOULD!! Trans; 1969 Muncie 4-speed, Rebuilt (from SS Chevelle, or Z/28) Hurst shifter, New clutch, pressure plate, flywheel resurfaced, Sprint car master cylinder for the slave cylinder mounted on firewall (everone thinks it is for brakes!) Bellhousing is an early ANSEN blowproof, cast iron, from a tri-five gasser Chevy!! Has the NHRA stampings on it and the inspection cover. Driveshaft has been cut and balanced, new u-joints. Rear End; FRANKLAND Quick Change!! It has been completely rebuilt, the center has been converted over to a posi, new bearings. Axle housings are '47 Ford truck 3/4 ton, both left side, cleaned and painted. A REAL OLD SCOOL QUICK CHANGE !! Front; '32 Brookville grill, stainless insert, Walker radiator, electric fan. Suspension; Super Bell dropped axle, So-Low Mono spring, '37 spindles, '40 Brakes front, 1970 rear, (all new, everything) Dual master cylinder mounted underneath foorboard. Hairpins, tie rods, all front bars, new chrome. Rear is 3/4 monoleaf (2) (like the old racecars), with adjustable heim joints up, down, left, right, forward, back. You do not see almost anything of the rear suspension, it is all tucked up in. Lights; N.O.S. Dietz 809 lights up front, single model A in rear, with stoplight. Paint; Base coat clear coat on body and frame. The paint is very very nice!! solid basic black! Please see pics!! Interior; Stock Model A, it is a complete new kit. it is partially installed, but does need to be finished. This is a great car, it is just, not quite almost finished, I'm sure it will need a few 'bugs' worked out, nothing out of the ordinary. Tires are also early original whitewalls, the front having a pie cut side, and the rear a small pie cut side. I was going to run chrome flipper caps, but didn't get that far (real old school look) . Steering wheel is a real early Moon (has old metal Moon logo near bottom), old Mopar tach (1962), I am sure I am forgetting things. There is easy, way over 20K in parts, now add paint, and machine work, it is close to 30K. Plus labor, not included! Almost every part is new, what isn't is period correct. Trades; might consider a trade, up or down, for a '32- 40 Ford, or? Questions, call 330-540-6122 Buyer to pay shipping costs. I can help arrange shipping. If you have zero, or negative feedback, you must contact me before bidding. A 5% down payment nust be recieved no later than 3 days after auction's end. Car must be paid in full no later than 10 days after auction's end. Only conventional forms of payment will be accepted, i.e. bank wire transfer. I also have 2 early Buick finned aluminum drums to fit the front brakes, they have been machined down to fit the 40 drums and lug pattern, however one still needs the steel insert machined into it. What it needs; The rumble seat area needs a seat and finished. The interior needs finished (have all parts). Should have a 'catch' can for the radiator (Speedway, $40). A residual valve in brake line (everything else in brake system is new). Transmission does have a leak (it is the idler shaft at the front, I didn't silicone it, now I know ! shifts beautiful, quiet, has been completely gone through). That is pretty much it for the major things, there are some small things, weatherstripping for the metal floorboard, tach still needs hooked up, and a few other small things. This car runs and drives down the road very strong. It sounds excellent, very healthy, It definitely has an attitude! No wimpy hot rod!On Nov-01-10 at 19:39:40 PDT, seller added the following information: It is titled as a 1931 Ford.
