Vehicle Detail
This 87 Synco was a west coast vehicle, with some surface rust. To the best of my knowledge it been here on the East Coast for almost 5 years, 1 of which I believe the previous owner did not drive it. It's Engine is a fine one, I live in the Catskills and this van will go ANYWHERE, up mountains covered in ice and snow. I have had no problems except for the coolant containers which burst a leak when the pump went bad which has been replaced. In the last year (and I have only owned for 3), I have put in a new Drive Shaft, Clutch, Breaks and Sway Bar, Wipers, Alternator. It has a 3 Bar Thule Rack, with cage and Bike mount and AC (I had taken out the front delivery tube on the van ceiling and its not in use) The under carriage is in fair condition. There was a small engine fire that melted them and the rear wiring which was replaced except for the trailer harness because of the muffler heat. The Muffler system needs to be replaced as well as tires and a section of the power steering. All the other engine parts were not damaged or they were replaced. The seams on the body has some surface rust that I have put Naval Jelly on.The Head Gaskets need to be replaced as well. Its body is in relatively good condition, with a scratches and small dents with no large ones. The front grill is cracked a bit from a bump with something from the previous owner. Also the dash was ripped on the passenger side and most of the vinyl has been removed from the dash form on that side. The rear bumper needs to be replaced as well. It has a tow hitch. I also have the Chilton's that I will throw in!All in all it was a great vehicle for a volksie and I hate to give it up. Its has been the second syncro I have owned and since I do not have a driveway, I must sell it. I would like to find an syncro fan to purchase it for its rarity, as its true worth would be known. It has the fold out bed and I do have the bench seat which I will sell for $300 more dollars. The interior is fair to poor, but this car can be brought back to life because its a synco for pete's sake, I know what it is worth. Make me an offer!
