Vehicle Detail
I bought the car from my Grandmother in April of 2010. It belonged to her late-husband, Garland, who had died six years earlier. He and his brother had bought matching cars when they were new. As far as I know, Garland was a competent and skilled mechanic who did all upgrades, if any, and maintenances himself. I did not receive any actual records so I do not know for sure.To my knowledge, the car has original engine, transmission, paint, and interior. The car has never been owned or driven by a smoker nor has anyone ever smoked in the car. When the vinyl roof started peeling a few years ago, my grandmother fixed it with duct tape. The tires are not flat or rotten. There are two extra tires (not spares) in the trunk. The front seat belts look pink, but the rest of the interior is still a deep burgundy. All the lights work (dashboard, head/tail/brake/blinker, trunk, and hood). The oil was last changed in July of 2010. It does not leak or burn any fluids. It guzzles gas like crazy, but that's normal. The car has little nicks and rust spots. Nothing major. It looks great for a 30-year-old car that's original everything. The car, once started, drives fine. The more it is driven, the better it starts up and stays running. In the trunk there are bunches of bottles of transmission fluid and gaskets and belts and other car related stuff. I found a mini-screw driver set (which I'm totally keeping) in the trunk, but that was on top. I haven't gone digging in there or anything, so anything and everything in the trunk comes with the car. The car is an old car. The only weird thing I've noticed is that sometimes when you turn on the AC, a belt or pulley sticks and causes smoke to come out of the engine and the car to shut off. There is nothing wrong with the radiator. There is nothing wrong with the coolant or transmission. It's just old and needs someone to take care of it.I'm a 21 female and my husband and I, between working and going to college, do not have time to fix it up. That is why I am trying to sell it. I like the car, I enjoy driving it, and I have enjoyed fixing what little I have on it, but I just don't have the time. Please email or text if you have any additional questions or wish to have more pictures. Thanks. (843)830-8127 10/02 I drove the car to Hampton than back to Norfolk, VA on Sunday. It drove beautifully. I tried to see if I could make the pulley or belt stick by playing with the AC and heater and such, but it continued to run fine. I think it might have just been sitting for too long.
