A 1973, the first model of the 450 SL that has the sleek bumper before the new bulky safety bumpers. This is a rare, factory color, Maple Yellow (code #606) exquisite repaint. The car is rust free and accident free and excellent body condition having been a Southern California vehicle. Original interior of camel leather is a stunning combination with the pale yellow paint. Seats and dash are excellent condition as is the original carpeting. This model has the optional small back seat. Power windows work well and a/c works but is weak. This car appears to have been garaged its entire 37 years. Truly a classic! The tires are new and have the original color matched hubcaps. The “rag” top is in great condition having been replaced with factory workmanship some time fairly recently. Hard top is like new. Original Becker radio goes with vehicle but has been replaced with a CD player and radio. Original still works and can be dropped back in easily. The weather stripping, the bumpers, trim hardware all in good condition. Trunk is clean and like new with new spare as well. Under the hood is clean and great condition. Odometer reading is not accurate and vehicle has 156,600 verified miles at least. Because of the mileage there are some fluid and exhaust leaks. Vehicle runs great and is very solid. Transmission, brakes, acceleration, all works smoothly. If you are looking for a classic 450 SL to tinker with and enjoy cruising around town, this is the car for you.
