Make no Mistake This is a WICKED Hot Rod ********* LISTING ENDS - TUESDAY NOVEMBER 2ND AT 9:30 pm EAST COAST - NEW YORK TIME ******** I NEVER thought the day would come, but I am selling my personal Hot Rod I built back in 2003. I love this car like a family member, maybe even more than some family members, she has been a great Rod and I will miss her. I have taken this car to car shows all over the North East over the past years and drive it several times a week year round. The car runs great, drives great, looks wicked, draws a crowd and thumbs up everywhere, I can't even begin to imagine how many pictures have been taken of this car. It has been in multiple magazines, a lot of people know the car, mostly as the car with the wrought iron gate and always has a crowd around it at shows. Although it has a heavy chop and a big motor it is very pleasant to drive around town, in traffic or on the highway. It doesn;t leak a drop of any fluid, and I built this to be my personal Hot Rod, never expecting to sell it. The car can be very docile, you can leave the transmission in drive and just tool around town OR you can manually shift the transmission and stomp on the gas and be in for one wild ride!!! It runs 0-60 in low 4.0 seconds with tire spin, runs in the 11's in the quarter is you have the nerve to keep the pedal down the whole way with the straight axle front end, and thats with a stock S-10 rear !!! Never overheats, super reliable, great driving fun car. Yes you can see fine out the windshield, you won't even notice it after a short drive. I have driven the car in some insane rain down pours with the open carbs and the slicks and it didn't miss a beat or get sideways at all. There is no way you could build this car or even buy the parts for my asking price, the engine is at least $10,000, add in $2000 for the trans and converter, $3000 for a body, $1000 for tires and wheels, $800 for a grill shell and radiator, $1000 for front end set up, $400 for rear end set up, $700 for brake set up, $200 for fuel tank, $400 for steering box, column and wheel, $200 for a wiring harness, about $7000 for everything else stuff like the dash, gauges, head lights, tail lights, all the frame steel, braces and mounting steel, paint, windshield and glass, and I can go on and on...not to mention all the time spent over the past 7 years building her. I am sure I am leaving stuff out but here is some info on the car: Engine - Big Block Ford 460 bored to 472 cubic inches, JE Pistons, aluminum ford motor company heads, mild 530 lift hydraulic comp cam and lifters, scorpion roller rockers, vintage aluminum offenhauser dual quad intake, dual Holley 600 carbs, vintage Holley ribbed valve covers, offy breathers, custom headers, 3 inch exhaust, mini high torque starter, holley high volume oil pump, crane drop in ignition modual with adjustable rev limiter, crane coil. I would guess around 500 Hp easy and a ton of torque. It fires right up, doesn't leak a drop, and doesn't hesitate when you get on it, just a great great engine. I have at least $10,000 into the engine alone Transmission - TCI Street Strip C-6 with a 10 inch 2400 stall converter, trans cooler, custom heavy duty drive shaft, ( Rearend - stock S-10 Body - Steel Henry Ford Model A Sedan Body, heavy chop, nice straight body, 5 coats enamel primer, 5 coats enamel satin black paint with metal flake clear coat, red scallops - custom molded 59 cadillac brake/tail lights, custom flame headlight mounts, and chain brace Frame - custom made with 2x4 box steel, heavy duty, POR15 tough primer and paint Suspension - (most parts from Speedway) drop axle front with 4 bar and shocks, 4 link rear with coilovers Brakes - under frame power booster, dual master, chevy disks up font, with drums in back, proportion valve - fluid fill through trap door in d/s floor Tires/Wheels - coker skinny fronts on steelies with dog dish caps, Radir 10 inch slicks on steelies, Death Spikes avaiable Radiator - custom Walker steel with electric fan Grill shell - repro 32 steel Fuel tank - repro 32 steel in rear Interior - bare bones style, 1953 Mercury Dash sectioned 13 inches,(dash gauges not hooked up) huge glove box with cd player and 4 speaker system, comfortable bench seat, aftermarket oil, temp, volt, tach work and light at night. Interior accessory light, one accessory plug outlet (cell phone, gps, etc.) Early Packard Steering Wheel on speedway straight column, bicycle pedal brake and gas pedal, Ahooga Horn with proper relay so it doesn;t sound like a dead cow, bolted in lock box for valuables in rear, wood battery box, safety glass windshield, red tinted plexi side windows (d/s window no mechanism pull up by hand and hook with a zip tie, p/s has mechanism and goes up with help. Electrical - New EZ wire 1 volt wiring harness, head lights brake light work, no reverse or directional lights, I use hand signals, head duty 00gauge welding wire positive battery wire, Optima battery Steering - new vega box, cross steering drag link set up, new column with vintage Packard wheel There are some spots that as I have done work I has just sprayed some black paint over, one spot on cowl and some overspray on valve cover, one spot around ahooga horn where I welded it to body, hole in floor around the brake pedal and shift cable can be cleaned up. I have modified a few things over the years, and have cut a few mounts and holes here and there that I have not cleaned up, Other than that I think I have covered most things. This car is such a blast to drive, everyone who sees it loves it Cash only please or wire transfer or money order. NO Trades, NO BIKES, NO BIKES, NO BIKES unless and this is a big unless (NO PROJECTS) a 61-64 cadillac, original stock Model A, 64 impala convertible, 46-48 ford/merc, model a roadster, or 63-65 mopar b-body, 64 pontiac convertible, or an early american car from 1914 to 1927 stock condition MAKE AN OFFER - On Oct-26-10 at 08:05:37 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received a ton of emails asking about the reserve price, and while I am not going to give out a set price I will say it is above 12k and below 20k.
