This is a very clean and well cared for 1st year example of this iconic bike. I have ridden many enjoyable and thrilling miles on her. Unfortunately, health issues force me to find her a new home. I have both ridden and tended to this bike as a "keeper" for many years, and therefore someone will get a bike that has had some of the best care available. All maintenance has been performed since new as scheduled by Honda, including all fluid changes, valve adjustments,(last done @ 29K miles), and this summer we removed, cleaned, and updated the carbs with Dynajet internals. This upgrade improves upon the stock Honda parts for 2 reasons. The parts are not susceptible to ethanol damage, and the jetting is far more conducive to proper drivability, as opposed to EPA regs. This bike runs perfect. It idles after 3-5 seconds of choke as opposed to 2 minutes, it has NO flat spots, and gets better mileage to boot. I wish I would have done this years ago. Other than a K&N air filter, the bike/engine is mechanically stock, and has never been apart. The bike comes with Corbin "Beetle Bags", which lock, are lined, and are reasonably water proof. They can be removed with no telltale marks on the bike. I recently exchanged the stock handlebars for a system from LSL, which raises the grips, widens them, and moves them back, all with adjustability and added comfort. All stock cables and wiring is retained, and the stock bars can be re installed if you wish. They come with the bike. I also installed Buell foot pegs, 1" lower for more comfort. The originals come with the bike as well. I have the stock rear turn signals and they come with the bike. I put a new chain on this summer. It has a new windscreen, newer battery, great tires, and everything works--even the clock keeps time! In my opinion this bike rates a 9+. Reserve is very reasonable. $500 deposit due within 48 hrs. of auction end. Balance due in 5 days unless otherwise approved by me. No release of bike until funds have cleared.
