This is a 1977 VW Westfalia camper that I have owned since 2002. It is Original Original Paint and Body, original license plates. It has a number of chips and scratches with surface rust, but I have waxed it every year and they have not spread. I wanted to keep the paint original, they are only original once. The new owner can keep it original or it would be an easy rre-paint. There is only Factory paint and sheet metal, so you know what you are starting with. Original interior except front seats. Modern Vanagon seats in front upholstered in original plaid. Stereo is installed so as not to cut any panels. There are no non-original holes Oil Pressure and Oil temp gauges are mounted so as not to cut any holes. Has all the curtains, the Original Childs Cot, the rear mosquito net. All items work, including the stove, the refrigerator, and the sink. YES! the refrigerator works. Heat works, took it on a road trip up north, In Minnesota, In February! In 2003 I had the original engine replace with a VW FACTORY ENGINE. At that time I also replaced : Clutch, Motor Mounts, Air Flow Meter, all four injectors, cold start injector, fuel pump, thermostat and cable, temp sensor, combo relay for fuel injection, muffler, tail pipe, throttle, clutch and emergency brake cables, at a cost of over $7,700. It has driven more than 8,000 miles since then. This Work done professionally at a reputable VW shop in Minneapolis. I take this out camping every year in the summer, and it has proven to be a fun and reliable machine, I never have to think twice about jumping in and heading out. I have the original owner's manual, the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, the paperwork from the engine install, including the report from the factory test stand run or the VW factory engine. You cannot even get these factory engines anymore. Call with any questions.
