Your looking at a very rare and very unique vehicle. This 1987 Volkswagen Quantum Syncro is rare in of itself, one of only 1200 imported between 1986-1988, add to that the Audi UR Quattro drivetrain (out of the highly sought after Audi UR Quattro coupes) and this makes for one special wagon. No expense was spared by the previous owner to perform this swap, the car is truly amazing. If your an Audi or Volkswagen fan, this is the car for you. The car received a "restoration" in 1997, the drivetrain conversion, suspension, and paintwork was all completed at one time. The list of parts used in this car is truly amazing, and is as follows: -Built high compression MC code Audi Sport engine -Audi Sport intake manifold -Audi Sport exhaust manifold that had been ported(header) -Custom crankshaft -Custom head work with high rev valve springs -Higher volume oil pump -Upgraded oil cooler -RS2 Hybrid turbocharger -Audi Sport adjustable waste gate(current spring allows for 13psi) -Spearco intercooler(hidden behind the grill for the ultimate sleeper look) -Custom intercooler piping -HKS super sequential blow off valve -Vacuum lines replaced at the time of conversion -Audi Sport CIS(constant injection system)fuel system. Adjustable for different pressure depending on fuel demands. -4.11 Final drive with dual locking differentials -Full stainless exhaust -Stainless steel downpipe customized to fit the RS2 turbo -Sach racing clutch -Willwood front calipers with Hawk HPS pads -Larger master cylinder to accommodate the Willwood brakes -Rear calipers were rebuilt at the time of conversion, complete with a fresh powder coating -Ground Control coilover suspension(Fully adjustable ride height) -Polyurethane bushings for the control arms -Battery relocated to the rear in a custom box -17inch MIM wheels -Sony headunit with aux port for Ipod -JL audio subwoofer in custom enclosure -Momo Steering wheel -1984 GTI shift knob -Car was stripped and repainted at the time of conversion(looks fantastic for a 1987) All build details were handled by the esteemed Audi/Volkswagen company, ECS Tuning. The car is in great condition for its age, driving nice and tight as any German car should. The body is straight and the paint is nice and shiny ,with no major dings or scratches. There are only a few "apologies", the hood has a few scratches near the hoodpins(from people improperly removing them to open the hood), and 2 tiny pilot holes, from when the hood pins were installed.
