1987 Ferrari 328 GTS For a colleague I am listing this beautiful 328. It is a special car with real value in todays market.. The car was originally delivered through the Ron Tonkin Ferrari dealership in Portland Oregon. The Delivery records may be available through their archives if requested. It is a Rossa Corsa color in original livery from the factory, it has not been touched up in any manner and polishes to showroom condition. The car has very minor stone chips in the usual spots. This example has obviously been garaged in the proper manner, and has seen no racing, rallying or club competition. For a Ferrari it is a mid mileage example, and performs as new with typical Ferrari V-8 power, smooth gearbox, and tight street handling. When the car was purchsed there were no maintenance records passed on, as such, there has been a base inspection including Compression check performed at Penske Ferrari in Las Vegas, Nevada. The compression results were excellent and even and read as follows: 1) 181psi 2)179 3) 182 4) 179 5) 180 6) 181 7) 183 8) 180 Cosmetically. The carpets, dash board and windscreen rubber are perfect with no shrinking whatsoever to the dash and instrument panel, The passneger seat is nice and Buckskin in color. The Drivers seat is in need of a bolster replacemet and is quite worn, however quite seviceable with no tear thru at this point. The center console leather cover will need replacement eventually. Mechanically. The car is in very nice running condition, and will need the Recommended belt service. The Tach reads low due to sensor needing replacement. The tires are Michellins, excellent with 90% tread remaining. As this car is listed, it will be a great value, to the next caretaker. Please understand, including the Timing belt replacement the car will reqiure some attention. To be made perfect expect 2000-2500, and this includes the belt service. Please look closely at the pictures, and know this car will be a great value and will increase in value as most Ferrari collectibles do.
