                        For Sale: 1973 Volkswagen Thing Project Car **** No Reserve **** Also included: 1967 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Pan, Engine, & Transmission I need the room so please save this from the scrap yard! **** AS IS No Refunds or Warranty **** Up for auction is a 1973 Volkswagen Thing in need of restoration. It has been garaged since purchase 12 years ago.  The pans are solid, there has been a previous owners rust repair to the lower rocker panels on both sides. I do have  the title but I never registered it. There are many parts including: 1973 Thing Parts New Top Cylinder Kit New Engine Tins New Clutch and Pressure Plate Spare Hood and Windshield New Convertible Top Header Tow Bar 1967 Beetle Parts Floor Pan (passenger side pan is new but not installed) Rebuilt 1650 engine with new heads Rebuilt swing axle transmission The Thing engine is included but is disassembled. The '73 and '67 engine cases are not interchangeable as the '67 is a swing axle case and the '73 is an IRS. However The internals of the engines are interchangeable. The ’67 engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago, it was test run after the build but hasn't been run since. Winning bidder must arrange pickup, I will not pay for any delivery costs. The vehicle must be picked up within two weeks from end of auction.
