1970 Karmann Ghia Coupe. I purchased this car from the second owner .They had owned it since 1999. The second owners purchased it with its current paint job , they were going to have it repainted its original Bahia Red but she got pregnant and money became an issue. They removed the headliner and carpet and then it sat in the garage. I had been looking for about three years for this exact car because my Grandfather bought one New in 1970 and I always wanted it. This car has 97,849 original miles on it. It is All Stock. The body has No rust what so ever. I registered it and changed the oil and started driving it every where. Then my wife told me she was pregnant ! We are expecting in June . So now its my turn to sell because Babys cost lot of money ! Thats Ok with me as our daughter is wanting a sister or brother. We have decided to put a low reserve of under $1,000 dollars on it because my wife cant see her self driving it around with a new born and a toddler . Parts are inexpensive thru JC Whitney Catalouge. Headliner is 115.00 dollars the carpet kit is 199.00 dollars. A new rear window seal is 38.00 dollars. I have a new front windshield seal that goes with the car. There is no radio in it and the dash has Never been cut for the radio.. The door Jambs , under the front hood , and engine compartment are still the original Bahia Red. There is a small dent on the passenger side door and the passenger side floor pan in the rear back seat area has a small hole in it. The window was left open and the water settled in the floor causing the only hole it has in the floor pan. The pictures Show this and it is below finger in the picture. The other pictures show how clean and rust free the body is. It starts right up without even hitting the gas pedal.The transmission works great and is an autostick. The suspension is Not lowered at all and it has front Disc brakes. We paid more than twice the reserve price in September. I does have both liscense plates , the original spare tire , original jack and handle as well as the original owners manuael showing the original selling dealer. I am going to hate to see it go but will be happy to become a Father again ! Seller is responsibile for pick up of the vechicle. We will hold it for 1 week without charge after 7 days there will be a $10.00 dollar a day storage fee due before the car is released. Hopefully my pictures will show everything. Also the second owners also removed the passenger side door panel and the outside body trim moulding. They could not find them when I purchased it, and the outside mirror is missing the glass.
