Vehicle Detail
A real barn FIND, out of a Montana farm, very solid all over with surface rust on topsides only, underneath very clean, no rust-through, surface rust on some very thick metal. Truck is complete, no missing parts, even the front chrome pieces are there. Green Diamond 214 6cyl flat head, 4 spd trans and IH pick-up body; don't know how long it's been sitting but engine does turn over by hand and when power supplied to starter motor. Removed clutch/flywheel cover plate and found a beautiful like new clutch and flywheel. I did not try to start engine, it will need ignition wires and fresh fuel first. Get the engine started, sand-blast it, knock out a few small dents, put glass and safe tires on and paint it and you'll have a beautiful solid truck, or do a complete restoration, both options available (or a Rat Rod option). All parts and glass are still available. All stuff you'd do anyway, on any truck. With this solid, complete truck you'll know exactly what you've got when you're finished, and you'll be proud of it. This truck has never been molested, its been in the hands of the original farm owner all its life, until now. The KB-3 is the same cab and body as the KB 1 & 2 but with heavier rear axle and springs. The springs can either have leafs removed or totally replaced to get a soft ride, if desired. Second VIN tag picture is of the IH pick-up bed, which was sold seperately by the IH factory (I'm an ex-employee and can answer your questions). Owners Manual, Service Manual and Parts Manual for this truck are available to buyer at half their cost. Unfortunately there are very few of these unmolested originals left out there, you won't be disappointed with this very straight and solid truck! Go for it, have some fun!
