Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Selling my 1972 Stingray Corvette with Eckler’s hatchback that I purchased last year with intentions on restoring and keeping for myself. I started out with replacing all four brake calibers, new brake pads and rotors. New battery, hoses and belts. The car runs and drives well, starts every time, car has been off the road for a few years but is road worthy. The car will need a full cosmetic restoration including paint and interior, the body of the car was done back in 1979 by a company that specialized in doing the Eckler’s hatchback conversions, the kit consisted of a one piece rear design, an 18 gallon gas tank designed to still retain the original spare tire and exhaust, they reinforce the chassis as well, they also changed the headlights and did the Daytona lights that consists of four square lights instead of the round. The body of the car is in great shape and won’t take much to throw a fresh coat of paint on it, chassis and bird cage of the car are rust free as well. the interior of the car is in ruff shape, the door panels will need to be replaced, seats and carpet are in presentable condition but would recommend replacing. Motor in the car is not the original motor, I have been told by a local mechanic that decoded the block that it is a gm target master 350 four bolt main with edelbrock carburetor, block numbers are as followed #3970010 behind the distributor and the numbers on the front are # 12s510713 V1221CKX. Selling this car as a running and driving restoration project, it is being sold as is and with NO RESERVE so whatever it goes for is what it will sell for!.. If you want below are links to a YouTube video walk around of the car and some links to the website that shows you the eckler’s hatch conversion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uchEC1yNIcs http://greenwoodcorvettes.com/CanAm.html http://greenwoodcorvettes.com/Other%20customs/Can%20Am/EcklerCat2.jpg
