Vehicle Detail

I have two Puch motorcycles for sale. I am starting to get in to other things so these are up for sale. The newer square tank one runs and goes down the road. Super torquey but it's not going to win speed records. Definitely a back-roads cruiser. It backfires once in a while upon deceleration but I've ridden it for over 20 miles with no problems. It has a Missouri title that has been signed by the previous owner and is ready to be signed by you and registered. It has not been registered in several years. I never titled it as I would take a plate off another Sears bike that I owned at the time. The bike is not perfect. The previous owner added a kill switch in to the left hand storage cover and this is what is used to turn the ignition on and off. Look at the pictures for other imperfections. This bike may be somewhat rare as rumor has it that it may be one of the last 100 Puch Twingles produced. (If you don't know why they call this a Twingle, do some research. It's cool!) You can read the excerpt below and you can be the judge. This is when I asked about it on the Sears Motorcycle Yahoo Group So, I recently listed my Twingle 250 on Ebay as I was going to buy a camper. I have several other smaller Sears bikes so I thought I could let it go! I got a message from antother Ebay member that said this: The year of this bike is 1969 and is one of the last 100 made for Puch 250. Ignition switch mounting shows that. Exceedingly rare!! Headlight is remake by Heller. I email back to get more information to make sure it's not some yahoo playing a joke on me and he tells me this: In the last end of the 69 models, Puch ran out of headlight buckets. Their supplier had nothing since they were done. They contacted Hella who they had not used for 7 years. Hella made 100 buckets and used a Zundap switch. Lights on the side of the switch not dot lights in the bucket, flat key not post type. They kept NO engineering data and did not make parts. Only 100 were made I have had two that died. You have one that only leaves 97 left somewhere if they survived. I recently sold a flat key. I know of one in Italy. I sold my two switches (they are a square switch board) to MotorWest. In my opinion if it is runnable restore and keep. Frames were tubular and prone to split by front of engine. Check this. Most were sold in and around Michigan. You can take that for what it's worth but if you look at other Twingles on Ebay, the headlight bucket/key arrangement is different so I think that there is some validity to the story. The bike is titled as a 1968 though so who knows? Camera makes the bikes look a little more shiny than they actually are. The other older round tank one is not running but it has sputtered on starter fluid. It needs a tank cleaning, cables, etc. It's definitley more work but could be really cool when finished. This bike has a true "Allstate" speedometer which you don't see a lot of on these bikes. Looks like someone wired up some weird turn signal arrangement for it at some point. No title for this guy. I am more than happy to answer any questions that you have about the bikes. I am not shipping these bikes. That means I do not want to take them to a freight company for you. I'd consider it for extra dough though. I will meet any shipper that you choose and help load but it is your job to get shipping quotes. I am in Shawnee, KS, just west of Kansas City. Easy access off of I70 or I35.
