Vehicle Detail

This is a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T (originally a white exterior, black interior car with a gator grain vinyl top car). This is a legitimate XS VIN R/T. I was doing a custom protouring style restoration on the car. All the hard work has been completed. As you can see by the pics (look at the photobucket link), all of the sheet metal has been replaced. This car has over $8000 in brand new sheet metal on it. There will be no hidden rust and this car should never have a rust problem again. I have no idea how many hours I have in this car, but it would be several hundred hours. This car is well on it’s way to being an AMAZING Charger. My intentions were to install coil over shocks on all four corners. The front has coil over mounts installed already. However, you could still go with a torsion bar front suspension if you prefer. The torsion bar cross member is still in place. The roll cage can also be easily cut away and removed if desired. Also, I have included a photobucket link with hundreds of pics. Look at all the pics and you will understand the quality of work that has went into this car. I grew up in a body shop and have had many years of auto body experience. This car has been done properly. I could go on and on about all the work that has been put into this car, but I think just looking at the pics is the best way to understand. This car has the potential to be an absolute show stopper! With this auction you get the 1970 Charger R/T chassis, original suspension (front and back), original interior pieces (seats are '69 buckets and the frames and foam are in excellent shape), and all the parts shown in the pics with exception of the plastic portion of the grille and the 10 spoke vector wheels (these items are available in a seperate auction). The new fenders are ’69 because I was converting this car to appear like a ’69. I will put the original rear end and front suspension back under the car for transport. The pic with the black front fenders on it is how it sits now. Also, not seen in any of the pics is the motor. The car comes with a disassembled but freshly machined '72 440 block bored .030 over. Also, included is a forged crank, flat top pistons and a set of six pack rods. A set of bare cast iron heads are also included. The heads have had some port work done (fairly minor) and new valve guides installed. It also comes with a 727 TorqueFlight transmission. The transmission has a TCI reverse manual valve body installed. I would imagine the pics will answer many of your questions. If not, please feel free to ask. I will respond as quickly as possible. Responses on the weekends will be done in the evenings. Photobucket link with hundreds of pics: http://s869.photobucket.com/home/sridenour/allalbums Though the car is largely complete, there are a few pieces that are needed. The car is missing the guage cluster. I was going to put a custom guage cluster in it. So, I never hunted down an original cluster. It is also missing the hood, and it will need a windshield (all other glass is present and in good shape). The car is also missing the bumpers, radiator and drive shaft. The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $1000 nonrefundable deposit within 12 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be discussed as long as they meet the stipulated timeframe). So, please ask all your questions prior to bidding. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of auction. I will accept PayPal (for the deposit), postal money order, certified bank check, or cashier’s check. All funds must clear the bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car. If you're within a reasonable distance and would like to see the car in person, feel free to contact me to setup a time. You will not be disappointed with this car. If you are familiar with restoration work, then you know how good of a deal this car is! Thanks and happy bidding.
