1974 HONDA CB500T CAFE RACER For auction is a 1974 HONDA CB500T that has been modified into a single seat cafe style bike.It has a nice set of straight bars and a nice hand made solo seat and tail section.It has a single deadman's switch for the ignition and needs the headlight bulb replaced.It has a little battery box fabricated to move the battery towards the back and clear out the area between the carbs and the rear fender.The bike has a tachometer only so the mileage is unknown.The bike has decent paint that shines up and nice straight pipes going to two chrome mufflers.It also has two hand made velocity stacks on it that arent in the photos.The bike has a few things that need attention:the front brake is there but the master cylinder isnt,the points cover is missing,and there is some minor abrasion to the engine fins on the right side(see photo).The fin damage is minor and I dont think it has any structural damage to the engine.I bought the bike at a sale because I have an affection for old cafe and sportbikes.The bike has no title.I will provide a bill of sale.In iowa you can take the bill of sale to the courthouse and post a bond for 1.5 times the value of the bike.I believe you can obtain these bonds at places like State Farm for little money.The courthouse will check that nobody is looking for the bike as stolen and issue a title.The buyer can't sell the bike for a certain period of time after the new title is issued.I have ridden the bike around the block a few times and it seemed to run decent but could use a tune up to the carbs(probably cleaning)and maybe a new set of points.It has a brand new battery in it. It is fun to ride and gets quite a few looks and thumbs up from people.It has an old Triumph flavor to its looks.I am only selling it because I am moving and trying to thin out my car and cycle collection a bit.It is going to sell cheap and will make a cool bike that nobody else has.Please ask any questions before bidding and only bid if you are serious.I will be happy to show it to anybody locally.Payment through Paypal,cashiers check,money order or cash.Thanks.
