1984 HONDA XR500R DIRT BIKE Bike is in nice condition givin it's age it starts cold usually on 2nd or 3rd kick and runs awsome. Engine has low hours and does not burn any oil, I took it on a 50 mi. ride after purchasing the bike from a friend and loved every minute of the ride and took a couple more rides after that and the oil was still on the full mark. I did do a lot of work on the bike after those rides, I was about to go out for a ride one day last year and the bike would not start upon doing some diagnosing I found out the pulse generator was bad so I replaced it with a new one from Honda and the bike fired right up after that. After that problem I figured I would do some more maintenance on the bike because of it's age even though it had low hours to give me peace of mind. Here is a list of all the new factory Honda parts put on the bike: Pulse generator Ngk iridum spark plug All new seals on bottom end New clutch friction disks & steels New throttle pull cable New clutch cable New regina o-ring drive chain All new chain slides New speedo gear & wheel seals New carb needle, seats & floats Honda synthetic racing oil and hi-flo oil filter Uni air filter 2 new tires bridgestone trail wings and MSR tubes Bike is nice however the seat does have a couple bad spots at the back by the storage tool bag and the plastics are a little faded from one summer sitting on my back porch but there are no cracks in any of the plastics. A little tlc and you can have the plastics looking awsome. The tags are good til Jun. 2012 Also this bike has only been adult ridden through all the years. It mainly sat in my friends garage for 20 years til I got it. Estimated mileage is 1000 miles and have only put 60 miles on it since I did all the work on it.
