I am sorry to have to part with this GORGEOUS and super low mileage 1998 Mercedes SLK320 Kompressor in a brilliant silver over black leather interior . A Non smokers adult owned car that was very much loved for and it clearly shows. Obviously no used vehicle is in perfect condition and some normal wear and tear is to be expected, but this Benz it is certainly very clean and would be hard to find one in better condition. Exterior is exceptionally clean as the pics will show. The paint shines deep and glossy and the car was garage kept at nights. There are some minor road pebble marks on the front but few and very small. This car was obvoiusly well cared for by it's owners including me, as the entire car truly looks amazing like a car with half the miles. The overall rating of the exterior is a solid 9.5 out of 10.Interior is also very clean as the pics will show. This was a non smokers adult owned car from day 1 and there were never any pets in the car. There are absolutely no foul odors. The seats are in excellent condition, the carpet is clean, and the dashboard is immaculate. There is some minor rubbing on the center console near the shift lever and power top controls. I believe this is a normal condition for this model /year. The seats, doors and dash are all in great condition with no tears, rips, burns or other damage. All controls work as new. The overall interior is a 8.5 out of 10.Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. The engine is quiet and healthy, the transmission shifts very smoothly, the AC is ICE cold and the heat is strong. The alignment is straight and even at speeds of 90mph the ride is smooth, comfortable and quiet. The tires and brakes are good. There are absolutley no warning lights on and the car is truly road ready for any trip any time. The electric convertible hardtop works flawlessly and quietly. The trunk is clean and dry and I just replaced the two trunk struts. The engine compartment is clean and dry. To my knowledge, this car has never been in any kind of accident or had any body work done to it. I've set a low reserve of only 8450. as I know this car will sell for more than that. Good luck. She just called me to tell me the Check Engine light just came on. (my luck eh!) This happened one before about 8 months ago and it was one of the emission sensors which was replaced for $280. including the diagnostic. I am sure it is just another emission sensor that in no way affects the operation or performance of the car. These things can be replaced yourself for about $80. if you know how. Sometimes the sensors are overly sensitive and the light will go out on it's own.My problem is I have such a tight work schedule over the next 3 weeks that I cannot get it into the dealership to have it replaced. So I am offering a $300. discount for whoever wins the bid by lowing the reserve by 300. Or if you prefer, I can have the sensor replaced before you take delivery, your choice.
