Jaguar XJS project car. I have owned this car since 97. I paint cars for a living and painted this car pearl white shortly after buying it. then bought custom American Racing brand alluminum rims and BF-Goodrich tires, 16x8 rims and ZR series tires. spent near $2000 on rims and tires. The car still had the original V12 and drove like a champ with no problems. After i was done customizing it, about 10 months later a small fire broke out in the engine compartment. Burning up wires around the middle of the engine and bubbled a small spot on the hood. I cleaned it up, repainted the hood and decided to remove the V12 and replace it with a chevy small block V8. A common swap seeing as the stock V12 is extremely costly to repair. I bought a rebuilt 350 4bolt main engine and removed the V12 and stock tranny. and thats where i left it some 12 years ago and have been carting it around since then waiting for the "spare" time to restart this project. Well, that times just hasnt come and i need the space in my shop more then the project. I have alot of money tied up but know i am going to take a beating. I need to move this quickly as its now tieing up space outside aswell. The body is in ok shape. Paint is starting to shrink up and fail. so its pulling away from the body mouldings around the windshield and trim. Has some rust in places. Would need to be stripped probably. The enterior is in ok shape as well. the dash and wood trim is in good shape. The seats are somewhat ok, stitching is seperating in some spots. carpet is ok. All the glass is in good shape. I am selling it with the stock wheels. One tire leaks down over a month or so and the belting is seperating on it, but the others are ok. I would be willing to sell the custom American Racing rims for $500 with the BF-Goodrich ZR tires. I can supply more detailed pictures of the rims upon request. The car will be sold without an engine or transmission. I got rid of the stock V12. I do have the stock automatic transmission and will sell that seperate for $100. I am also selling the Chevy small block V8 seperately. Its a 350 4bolt main. New 30 over pistons, camshaft, rebuilt heads(202), block was dipped, new freeze plugs. i have Edelbrock intake and valve covers and thats all i have. I bought it rebuilt, pulled it all down, reoiled all bearing caps and cylinder walls and reassembled. That was probably 11 years ago, so it would need to be pulled down again and reoiled before cranking. i would like to get $500 for the engine and all parts stated.
