Vehicle Detail

Here you go! A 1984 Buick Type T (Grand National wanna be) for a lot less then a GN! This has been my sons project for a while now, and with just getting out of college and working full time, he now realizes he just don't have the time and money to finish! Dad is tapped out! Welcome to the real world son!! This car is in pretty good shape. The qtrs, rockers, doors, hood, trunk, trunk lid and fenders are solid. The rear tail light panel has been repaired with fiberglass, as it had some rust behind the tail lights. The passenger front floor panel had some rust, which he cut out and welded with metal. Not a bad job, but cosmetically would look better with a repo panel. Both front and rear plastic bumper fillers have been replaced with new. The passenger front fender had a small dent forward of the antenna, which could use a little attention, nothing a first time body person couldn't fix. It has a rust area about the size of a silver dollar above the A pillar seen when you pull the T-tops. He sanded the complete car and sprayed it with a satin black paint. He was hoping to some day have it painted black, but Dad wasn't biting! The interior dash is in great shape with no cracks. He installed a new set of gauges to monitor oil pressure and water temp. Has new carpet, new headliner. This car has the highly optioned Lear Siegler seats! Only 400 of the 2000 Buicks Type T's had these for this year. The rear seat is in good shape, fronts will need a little work. All lights work, but needs a horn button and parts installed in steering wheel. The power windows go up and down. The Turbo charged V6 engine fires up and runs good, but needs a complete exhaust system from the exhaust headers back. We do have the old cat, which could be gutted and reinstalled, but you decide. My son has installed new plugs, plug wires, belts, radiator hoses, oil and filter all within the last 6 months. Power steering works fine, but we do not have the AC Compressor. The engine bay has been cleaned and painted up to look nice. The automatic trans shifts through all gears, and brakes work fine with disc up front and the aluminum drums in the rear. It has original Grand National wheels and caps installed which are in pretty decent shape, with new rear tires 275/60/R15 and front tires 215/60/R15. This would make a great car for someone who has a couple of weekends and a little money to finish up, without having to break the bank! My reserve is extremely fair for what these things are selling for, and my feed back shows I'm an honest guy to work with. I will deliver within 100 miles of my zip code (23322), and only sell to the United States. You cannot show up and expect to drive it home, but with little effort and an exhaust system, you should be good to go! I've had a few questions already on reserve. My reserve is fair, and can be whatever reasonable offer both of us agree upon. I don't need to give this car away, and have another 6 years before my youngest goes to college. I'm a car guy that would like to see someone finish this thing and get her on the street where she belongs. Thanks for looking. On Sep-27-10 at 02:44:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I found a box of interior trim parts, etc that has been placed in the trunk. Also forgot to mention we dropped the gas tank earlier this summer and replaced the fuel pump/filter with a new unit. Thanks for everyones interest. On Sep-28-10 at 14:02:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Here you go! There are a lot of nice Turbo T's an Grand National's for sale here on ebay and they appear to be selling! This one is priced right and you won't find a better deal anywheres! On Sep-30-10 at 02:51:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Fellas, I've had a lot of great offers for trades, and they all sound like really nice cars, but just dont have the space or need another car. I've got a 60 Chevy Biscayne in the garage now, with a 60 Chevy Nomad wagon going in this winter. This car is the best priced Turbo T / Grand National here on ebay!
