Vehicle Detail
1969 Mustang Fastback 351 Windsor 4 Barrel M Code 4 Speed. I have been told the engine was rebuilt recently, I have no details or means of verification. The engine runs well but is quite loud there is no exhaust beyond the headers. When I heard the engine run I didnt hear anything unusual. The engine and transmission appear to be original to this car but I have no means to verify that. If you send me your email I can send you the Marti Report. I also have the buck tag and I believe the door tag is still on door and all numbers match. This car needs a total restoration. The fenders are new repop on both sides. I have included the Marti Report to verify this is a M Code 4 speed. It has a hood scoop, rear wing, hood pins. Everything is there from what I can tell except a windshield. All the rest of the glass is original to the car. If you have questions, please ask prior to bidding if possible. Due to the glass being out of the car, I would prefer NO International bids. Happy Bidding. On Sep-17-10 at 20:34:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Car is available for your own inspection or by a restoration specialist in the area. I will also entertain buy it now offers that are reasonable. Mileage is unknown. On Sep-18-10 at 10:30:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I took some notes if I were to restore this car what I would do. It would be somewhat dependent on what kind of car I wanted, Original, Resto Mod, or just a nice Driver. I would replace the floor probably both sides. The frame rails look pretty good, but would replace any bad places if needed. I would put new trunk floor over the rear frame rails with drop downs. I would replace or repair the quarters and wheel houses, if I was going to make a nice driver, I would do patch panels to reduce cost. You have new fenders, no work there. The doors look useable for a nice driver as well as hood. I would replace the trunk lid, those are pretty reasonable in repop. You have a nice shell to start, put a new interior in it. The 351 Windsor Engine 4 Barrel engine was suppose to be rebuilt and a new clutch is what I was told. This car from the Marti Report has the upgraded exterior to look more like a Mach 1 with the hood pins, hood scoop, and it has a rear wing/spoiler. It should like awesome when finished. All the original parts look in good condition with exception of the windshield and it does not have a air cleaner. On Sep-19-10 at 18:12:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions as to the reserve price. It is currently $6500. Out of all of the 69 Mustang fastbacks/sportsroof there was less than 10% that has the 351 Windsor 4 barrel with a 4 speed transmission. Not easy to find. This is a M Code with a 4 speed transmission per the Marti Report, not a 302 F code with a Automatic Transmission. On Sep-21-10 at 15:05:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Lowered the reserve by a considerable amount, this car needs to go and be restored. Happy Bidding. If you have questions, please call me at 317 440 1278. Thanks If you can come get the car on this Saturday, I will give you a better deal. Send me your offers. Car has to go!
