I recently purchased this m5 and planned on putting some work into it and potentially making it a lifetime car. As you can see with the pictures, the car is in phenomenal exterior and interior condition. The two tone interior compliments the Silverstone Metallic and you can tell all owners of this car have been enthusiasts. The car does, however need some mechanical attention. First off, ( which I was not aware of when I purchased the car… Dealer thought it was minor enough to not mention, however I would prefer to disclose) the car sometimes has a slight click while shifting into third gear. While driving around town at lower RPMS the car shifts through all gears smoothly, however while doing more “spirited” driving over 5,000 rpms the car will sometimes make a click only into third gear. I have had several dealerships give me opinions on the car and they suggested that the third gear synchro’s need attention. The car also has brand new rear tires, could use fronts soon. Also, as with most other 10 year old performance automobiles the car could use a good tune up at a dealership. The check engine light is on however only because it needs Inspection II which will address the intake cam sensor. I purchased this car mainly because of the exceptional shape that it is in with plans to address the few issues that is has and keep it for 10 years, however I have begun to start my own business, already have a daily driver tahoe and an e46 m3, so having two toys is not the most economical choice right now.
