Vehicle Detail

Selling the Cat to finish my shop. Its got a 389 2bbl, A/T. 99.9% original, except for the 20's obviously. I'm the 3rd owner, I bought it in Tacoma, WA about two years ago and it came with some neat stuff, like the original title, protecta-plate, bill of sale etc. The car runs and drives good, it would need one or two things to make it a daily driver, nothing serious though. This is a PROJECT. It isn't show worthy, unless you feel like making a rat rod out of it, then just put the steel wheels back on and its ready to go! Since it hasn't ever been repainted its got a touch of the normal rust in the fenders behind the front wheels, and only on one side in the rear. This car would be and easy restoration in my opinion, that's why I bought it in the first place. The interior is all there, with the important parts like the headliner, door panels, dash and trim are in really great shape. The original seat covers are still under some slip covers my wife sewed up. It already has a collector plate on it, too. I think the best thing about it is that nobody has messed with it hardly at all, hard to find after 45 years. All the glass is good, all the chrome is there. I did put a new windshield in it when I bought it. This car turns some heads even in the shape it's in. I hate to sell it, but I have to have my shop done before it snows. I can't go another winter with nowhere to work on my other stuff... However, since it won't be easy to come see it unless you live nearby, I will list what I believe it to need mechanically. Again, it starts and runs pretty good as-is, but I don't want you to be surprised in any way. First, it will need a drivers side lower ball joint. But if the reserve is met, I will make sure this is taken care of for you. Second, the carb has a bit of a stumble off the line. I find this a bit strange because cold starting and idling is great. Re-starting is just a turn of the key after its warmed up, but when you leave a light, it will hesitate, then go. Maybe an accelerator pump???...Dunno, I haven't bothered with it cause it doesn't bug me too bad. I just want you to know what you're getting. So in the end, this isn't some cancer ridden pile, and I really don't want to let it go, but we do what we have to do,, right?
