For sale is this rolling chassis that i just couldn't let be crushed at the junkyard. It is perhaps the most rust-free mgb i have seen, just look at the pics of the doglegs and rockers. Apparently, someone had started a restoration at one time. The firewall and engine compartment had been stripped of all components and painted black. The floor panels had been very professionally replaced, they still had the manufacturer's label on them when i bought this car six years ago. This would make a good chassis to move the mechanical components from your rusted out, but running car, and have a very straight sporty car! Car had poorly prepped paint job at one point in time. As a result, paint has flaked off the hood and trunk, and surface rust has set in. The metal is good, just will need rust ground off before repaint. Rubber bumpers in very good condition. No engine or radiator included. included are the transmission and driveshaft. Pedals and pedal box and heater box included. Front suspension looks straight and complete. steering rack looks straight and moves freely. Rear end shows no leaks and rolls freely. Driveshaft flexes freely and telescopes where it should. Transmission looked clean when observed through side cover. Interior - dash complete with all gauges. Speedo has typical fogging on its glass. Console is there, although 'old'. No seats or top/frame. Glass not cracked or pitted. Windows roll up and down freely. Windshield and frame good. Tires hold air so you can roll chassis around in the workshop, but i would NOT put them out on the road. Buyer should plan on picking up with trailer or flat bed. I will assist with loading as much as I can. I have tried to describe the car as best I could.
