Vehicle Detail
1987 PORSCHE 911 (930) Turbo One of the cleanest and best kept 1987 PORSCHE 911 (930) TURBO in rare Black / Black color combination. This beauty has always been a non-smoker car and has been well serviced and kept in detailed condition. The minor aftermarket improvements, which include a professionally installed R & R Intercooler (all receipts on record), R & R Muffler with Exhaust Tips, Speedline Strut-Bar, Italian PROTOTIPO Steering Wheel and the exclusive RUF Speedline Performance Wheels, have only added to the collector quality and performance of this stunning 930. Its solid road handling and amazing performance characteristics are only some of the second to none qualities that PORSCHE has been credited for producing in the late 1980’s. Every mechanical and electrical part of the vehicle works perfectly. As the pictures show, the vehicle is in excellent condition, inside and out and comes with red-accented floor mats. The original, factory leather steering wheel is also included with the car. The exclusive RUF Custom Wheels are fitted with Dunlop Sports Tires (front: 235 / 45ZR17, rear: 275 / 40ZR17) and offer a well balanced combination of comfort and performance. Please contact me with any questions. On Sep-22-10 at 06:46:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Ques Re Leak Down Test and Rating-- Stan is not aware of a leak down test being done….did not seem that impressed with that specific test. He stated this was generally only done if you had a known compression problem and the test was not always totally accurate. I defer to him as he is the expert. His # is 843-556-4925. Stan did the last major svc at 60,632 which consisted of repl all fluids, filters, dist, cap, rotor, plugs, etc and adjust valves…cost of $2115. At 60,651 intercooler was replaced, strut bar, eng crossmembers added for total of $5,758. Alt repl at 60,949 with addl items for cost of $1,940. When this car sold at 42,000 miles, the appraiser rated it a “great #1-2 condition overall”. He is a member of Intl Automotive Appraisers Assoc. (copy on hand) On Sep-22-10 at 06:54:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Further to question re condition, etc.--- Dear whiskers496, This is my 3rd Porsche...although I'm far from an aficionado. I dropped it off at Rennsport this AM for a check up--new fluids, filters, etc. AC is being converted to latest version for a cost of around $1,400. I think it is a really nice example of a 930. The previous owner dropped $16,000 in it the 24 mos he owned it before me. If you are serious about a subjective rating, then I would suggest you call Stan at Rennsport in Charleson as he did all the previous work I described. I listed this on ebay a while back and got a lot of inquiries and bunch of talk. It appears there are a large number of tire kickers on this space without much to do. If it does not sell, this time I'm going to donate it or just keep it.... Hope this helps if you are serious. - john1ulz
