Let's try this again... NO RESERVE Starting bid is what the scarp metal guy will give me for it (I would hate for that to happen) Clearing out my Alfa projects, so here is a Sept of '78 production Spider Veloce project car. Originally Silver with Burgundy Leather, a very elegant combination. Sadly at some time in the past color changed to "resale red". Odometer reads 78,926 of course "TMU" but not an unrealistic number based on condition. Let me start by saying that for a New England car this one is not terribly rusty... It did have some obvious rust repair done (presumably at the time of the color change), which is now visibly flaking. See photos. The floor is rusty at the normal front drain plug holes. The front fender bottoms will need repair. The front of the rear wheel arches will also need repair. You may want to do some exploratory cutting on the rockers to check those out. I have not done that. The nose panel has some light damage due to a shop incident (Doh!). The rear valance panel also has some light damage (not me this time). I have stripped the car of all the trim that would normally come off for paint and bodywork. It all comes with the car. The bumpers (as usual) are in poor condition due to rust delaminating the rubber. Mechanically the car appears fair... I have not started it, but may be able to have it running before the end of the auction. The tires hold air, the car rolls freely, and I can help load it onto your trailer. Needless to say (but I'm saying it anyway) all the hydraulics will need to be done over. I would also do all coolant and fuel hoses. The car will need an exhaust system. The fuel tank is out of the car as I was going to coat it with the POR process. Yes this car retains its original Spica MFI and I have taken the preliminary steps to set it up properly. It will need a new TA as it currently has a "Shankle Sure (to not) Start". All in all, not a bad Winter project... You will wind up with a fun driver in a great color combo for short money. These rubber bumper Spiders are a great value FOR NOW. This car is sold with a "bill of sale" as Maine does not issue titles for older cars. I do have a trailer, and could haul it to you for gas money plus a couple of bucks. New England area only please. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
