Vehicle Detail
This is a Rare opportunity, this car will easily go 150,000 more miles in it's life because the Original Owner parked it in 2000 due to illness and never drove it again. After She Passed away Her Son traded the car in at a local Dealer in Sept. of 2006 where , thanks to the fact that I had been shopping Hard for a Clean used car, I saw it and bought it the same day at which time it had 44,000 miles. It was still wearing the Uniroyal Royal Seal Run Flat Radials it was born with and they still had 75% tread! I replaced them because of tiny cracks that were caused by age but the spare is perfect and has never been on the ground. It's mounted on an aluminum wheel that matches the other four and I even kept the 2 rear tires because they were just too good to discard, they will come with the car. I also replaced the battery and the serpentine belt that drives the alternator, A.C. compressor and power steering pump simply because it was old, it was in such good shape that I kept it for a spare! The LT1 V-8 is amazing, I connected a OBD-1 tuner to the diagnostic port and re-mapped the computer and the gas mileage went to 21.7 mpg. and you Cannot be aggressive with the throttle because this Huge, almost 5,000 pound car will Burn Rubber until you let off the gas! Being the guy that bought those Big New Radials I am simply not willing to leave my money laying on the street in a pile of smoking rubber. You can see by the pictures that the paint is like new, heck, everything is like new, you just can't believe it's 15 years old! It's so shiny that it's hard to see any parking lot dings but there are a few on the passenger side but none are larger than a dime and no where, is damage through the paint! The cover over the passenger side mirror is cracked but doesn't move or rattle and there are some scrape marks under the front bumper cover that must have happened when it was pulled into a parking space too far. The Hood ornament was gone when I bought it and I couldn't justify spending 100 bucks just so some gangster wannabe could hang it from a necklace. There is a tiny wear hole in the Leather driver seat behind the Lumbar pump switch and a small crack in the dash pad on the far left corner. The stick on, skinny silver trim on top of the rear bumper cover is shedding it's clear, tape like, cover and there is a 6 or 7 inch long indentation beneath the right rear door on the lower jam. The only other defects are some small surface scratches on the trunk lid where it looks like a bag of groceries could have been slid off and the rubber rub rail that sticks to the wide chrome trim that goes all around the car is in the trunk behind the spare tire. I pulled them off when they got loose so I wouldn't lose them and all five sections are there and just need to be stuck back on the trim with 3-M double sided tape. Now for the "if it's so great why are you selling it" I have had 4 cervical fusions (spine surgery at the neck) and I am now dis-abled and cannot work but I am still able to get around and I can drive, some. What I can't do is bend my neck so getting in and out of cars is a painful task so I am getting a truck but refuse to pay some dealership to take my car in trade. You simply can't apply Kelly Blue Book value to a car in this condition, not fairly anyway. So take a look at the other Roadmasters for sale, many with 200,000 miles on them, then think about the mint condition Roadmaster station wagon, with 38,000 miles, that sold at Barrett Jackson last year for $28,000 dollars. This may be the most Dependable Car G.M. ever built and the list of options is staggering. From the Concert Hall 8 speaker AM/FM cassette Stereo and the Seat heaters to the auto opening and closing trunk and the 8 way seats with the controls on the armrests, the power mirrors and the lumbar cushions that make you feel as if you're wearing this car, the rear view mirror has so many functions that I haven't figured them all out yet but I know it dims the glare from bright lights that hit it so you aren't blinded by those cars behind you. If you never rode in a mid-ninties Roadmaster, that alone will surprise you because it really floats down the road. You will never, EVER find this much Luxury for this kind of dough and if you're thinking about buying it and putting those HUGE wheels on it please don't bid, I can't stand the thought of that happening to a car this Beautiful! This Buick is absolutely ready for a road trip so no matter where you live you can feel comfortable coming here and driving it Home, there is no way that it will let you down. I'm sick about selling it because I'd always wanted one and because of it's condition I know that whatever used truck I replace it with, well... it's just not going to be half the machine that this car is. I have the Title and a Notary next door for an on site transaction but if you want it shipped remember this is a VERY LARGE car and I'm just not sure about the width on todays multi-car trailers. Shipping will have to be arrainged by you but I will help any way I can once the funds are in my acct. I also have a custom made car cover that breathes but is waterproof, it's never been taken from it's box because the car has always had protected parking but it comes with the car along with the programmer that I used to re-map the computer, so you can return the engine to factory specs. if you want to. I'll include a set of Bosch Platinum spark plugs that I bought on sale but haven't needed to install. The A.C. will cool to 62 degrees on a 100 degree day because I had it serviced as a condition of it's purchase in the Summer of 2006. I also forgot to mention that this car has NEVER been smoked in, both ashtray and lighter are brand new and how many 15 year old cars do you see with the original floor mats that still look new? The front mats actually have straps with snaps underneath to keep them from crawling around! This car was used in the Hallmark, made for T.V. Movie named, "Front of the Class" that was filmed in Shreveport 2 years ago. It was the School Board officials Car that was seen towards the end of the Movie. The car and I had to be at the "shoot" for seven days total while the car was only actually used for less than 30 mins. and it never had to move! Thanks for looking at Her and Best of Luck with your Bidding!
