2003 Mercedes Benz SL500R - I'm a New York State Dealer. I purchased this car three years ago and have been using it for personal use. I bought the car at a New York State Insurance Auction. The car was a stolen recovery from the state of Georgia, recovered in tact with no major components missing. The way you see the car is the way I bought it. The VIN plate was taken from undreneath the driver's window and the original VIn number was tagged by the state of Georgia to the interior driver door sill. If this car is titled in the state of New York it will have a salvage title due to the previous theft. If this car is titled in any other state, you will need to check local DMV laws to see what will happen with the title. The car is equipped with the AMG sport package which includes 18" AMG wheels and the AMG front bumper with mesh inserts. The car has panoramic roof, navigation, 6 disc changer, heated seats, auto & manual transmission. The car is black with black leather interior and tinted windows. The car needs a couple of minor things to be perfect. The front bumper had a lot of scratches on it so I had the bumper sprayed and now it looks and matches great. Because the bumper was off of the car, the exterior temperature sensor needs to be fixed or reset and the front bumper airbag sensor needs to be fixed or reset. The glovebox lock needs to be replaced and I have the new lock and it will be included with the sale of the car. Besides the few minor issues above, this car is in great condition. The car has only 31,000 miles on it and it looks and runs great. If you look up the value of this car with this type of mileage you will find that this car is worth far more than the starting bid. You will not find this car in this condition for the money I am asking. If the starting bid is met this car will be sold at auction end.
