Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a Honda CB 750 K1 Survivor which was built 3/71 and the ID # is cb750-1084132 and the motor number is 1084589. The color is Valley Green Metallic The bike sold new in September of 1971 and the honda dealer registered it as a 1972 which was common back then. This bike is not restored but totally original except for a few items like the battery, tires and 2 pipes. Other than that, every nut, bolt, washer, paint, etc. is original to this bike and has not been changed. All other K1's can be judged against this bike to see if they are original. This bike belongs in a museum. I am the second owner outside of the first family who owned the bike since new. I have owned it for 10 years and I acquired it with 11,000 miles and I have enjoyed limited riding. This bike was never driven in the rain which is why it has most of the clearcoat still on the polished pieces but it is starting to wear in spots. This bike has never been painted and has some light scratches which don't show in pictures. The chrome is almost perfect as shows in the pictures and is all original to the bike. I looked for the nicest 750 I could find and this was it for sure. This bike has the original Honda stamped mirrors in great condition. The K1 has a lot of one year only items such as the seat design, the gauges with lights in them, 300 design pipes, etc. Also, K1 is the last year for the color painted headlight bucket, and fork ears. I am very picky and I will attempt to list all little defects in order to be honest and have you know what you are buying. The paint has some small scratches, and nicks on the head light from a fairing that was on it but it just adds to the patina. The side covers had small cracks and were fixed from behind and really don't even show in pictures. The rear of the rear fender has some small pin head dents but don't show in the pictures. The rest of the chrome is very nice and it gets as many compliments as does the paint. The 2 rubber gaitors on the front forks broke and need replacing and are $60 for the pair at any Honda shop. The left two exhaust pipes are original HM 300 and they have some good size rust holes on the rear bottom portion. The two right exhaust pipes were changed before I got the bike and are 341's and in okay shape. If I was keeping the bike I would replace the gaitors and the exhaust (still available) and that is it and keep the rest original and not paint it and you could win any show you want. As you can see in the pictures, the gauges have some slight fading but are not as bad as most that you see and I think it adds to the patina of the originality. The tires are only a few years old and do not need changing. It comes with the original tool kit and owners manual. This bike runs as good as it looks and no funny sounds, leaks or anything abnormal. I rode it to a Vintage bike night 2 weeks ago with a round trip of 120 miles and it ran perfect. This bike looks and sounds like it has 2000 miles. I have a clear title in my name and I have it registered with Historical plates in Ohio which cost $11 for 50 years which is a great deal. If you have any questions, want to look at it in person, or need any additional pictures, please email me and I will respond quickly or you can call me at 440-725-8163 or send your phone # by email and I will call you. I will probably kick myself for 20 years for selling this bike but moving and downsizing causes the sale. Look at my other items for sale including another 750 and some parts, along with a Datsun 240Z, and a BMW Z3. Please note my 100 % positive feedback. This bike must be picked up within 7 days from the end of auction and I can be available for shipping on this end but You will have to line it up and make it happen withinin 7 days from end of auction only. Good Luck bidding
