Vehicle Detail
1977 MGB Time to sell the MG and start working on the Sunbeam Tiger. My Dad bought it in 85, I got it in 88, left the country in 2007 and gave it to a buddy to care for (he’s the lister in e-bay) and now it needs to be sold. This is a SW car and mechanically 8/10. Lots of work done on this car from 88-94 to get it in good shape, and garage kept 15/20 years. Tune up, new brake lines, battery & wheel bearings rebuilt July 2010 ($1000 repair bill) SW car, no rust Car painted in ~90, rocker panels replaced (rusted out from prior owner washing it daily), completely stripped to metal and pained with DuPont Chromo Base/Clear in For Med Red (darker red than the orange/red MG used those years) Window seals also replaced. Lots of mechanical work, engine rebuilt in ~91 with iskey cam, 9:1 compression pistons, delorto side draft, Mallory mechanical dual point, header All 4 corners suspension has 1” lower springs, tube shock conversion, brakes are good, anti-roll bar bushings good/replaced Great interior with new carpets and cloth seats in 91 Custom welded receiver type two bike carrier Enki 14x6 wheels (have American Racing caps because the Enki ones didn’t fit tight and fell out) Have both Toneau cover and boot for the top Lots of other small stuff done and receipts for all Receipts for all work done and items purchased since 1985, 3 repair manuals included The Bad - appearance 5/10 Trunk was replaced after a sign fell on it (big storm) and paint there is bad Small split, 1”, at driver side in door skin from the vibration of the mirror (1”), one turn signal lens cracked Clear coat is peeling back but color underneath is still bright, see edges of the clear coat Will need a catalytic converter to pass emissions (also will include old manifold SU carburetor, Cat in that is also hollowed out) worked fine when it came off the car in 90 Needs a new top (windows all split) Crack in the dash (with dash cover and filled with Black RTV hides easy) Windshield has 1 good chip in it, other than that good.
