This is a 1953 Willys M38A1. It was gone through about eight years ago. (Not a frame off) It runs and drives excellent. There is no death wobble in the front end. The steering is tight as well as the brakes. It is mostly original with a little patch here and there in the common spots that need repair. It is basicly a parade jeep. It still has all it's original "battle scars". In short it is not over restored. You can see all the spot welds and imperfections in the body. This looks like it came right out of the field minus the dirt and mud. The canvas is new. It has been converted to 12 volt and is very easy to work on. The dash looks correct but has a few hidden modifications for the 12V system. The paint is weathered and someone tried to wax it in years past and left a haze on it. . The tires are in very good condition and are the correct 7.00x16 NDCC. The motor is very strong and just had the head rebuilt. The gears shift cleanly and do not pop out of second or any other gear. The 4x4 works just fine. This jeep is not perfect by any means and will require a little touch up here and there and possibly some very minor maitnence. I have enjoyed playing around with it here at the shop and have put it in several parades. It draws alot of attention as well as stories and a few tears.
