1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle in excellent condition. Purchased vehicle 2 1\2 years ago for advertising and promotion purposes. Recently switched companies so promotion is no longer necessary. Car runs excellent and the engine was completely re-built. Exterior is in great shape - looks like a small amount of body work was performed on one of the rear fenders, a couple of tiny rust spots or paint peel can be seen if you look really close but overall, she's in great shape for a 36 year old car. It includes a custom built cd/stereo system with a built in sub-woofer - really loud! Looks like someone did some upholstery work to the interior, but just with a fabric material. It looks fairly neat and uniform, but would really benefit from an eventual make-over with leather, etc. Car runs great, never had an issue with the engine. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but I think it could use a new starter. Always starts, but the vehicle sometimes needs to be repositioned, (just stuck my foot out the door and pushed backwards with the clutch depressed, letting the clutch out after rolling back a foot or so), and it would fire right up. Nothing to do with the engine though. I just put in a brand new battery hoping this would help resolve the issue, but looks like it must be the starter after all. Tires are like new. This is a great little car - it makes people smile or punch each other as it passes by :) If I didn't need the cash, I would love to keep her and make her a real showpiece, but hey, "cest la vie", cash is king at the moment.
