1979 Ford Mustang SCCA Road Race Car. Does have a vin # but is not legal for driving on state roads, for racing only. This car is 100% ready to race with no expense spared. It has a 302 V-8 engine built by Advanced engines and proffesionally Dynoed and tuned by the one and only Al Moody,that's right the same person who was Carroll Shelby's race team engine builder and crew chief. The engine was built as close to SCCA engine specs as possible and is 100% legal. Everything on this car is in excellent cond.. The clutch is brand new and is a king cobra 10 inch racing clutch. The transmission is a T-56 Tremec and is bulletproof.(Stronger than the World Class T-5) The suspension is fully adjustable with brand new Tokiko shocks. It has a fully charged fire system and a large coolsuit hookup which works perfect. The battery is a heavy duty racing battery and cost over $200. The seat is a Kirkey and is Aluminum. The rotors are brand new as well as the calipers and pads. The tires are in excellent shape. There is a porportionat valve for adjusting brake pressure front to rear. The suspension is a Watts link setup. The engine boast a new Holley 600 racing carb. and MSD ignition. Along with an aluminum radiator with a 14 inch cooling fan. This engine will turn 7000 RPM with no loss in power. The engine alone cost me almost $8000 and the tranny was around $2000. A great car for racing without the worries of wrecking a $75000 National Mustang Runoff car. Comes with a logbook as I have owned this car for about 6 years with great memories.This car was only 1 second behind the National boys at Roebling.and about 3 seconds behind them at Road Atlanta; without the $75000 price tag and full pit crew.
