Vehicle Detail
This truck is absolutely gorgeous, It is equipped with a power house 396 cubic inch engine a turbo 400 transmission. and a 12 bolt rear differential. To the best of my knowledge the motor, trans and rear differiential are from a 68-69 chevelle as well as the front suspenion, which has front power disc brakes. The truck does have power steering and it has been lowered. The nice thing about this truck is that it is a factory black truck and it has all its original body parts as well as the bumpers, grill and all its stainless accessories which are in very good condition. I have owned this truck twice as I bought it in approximately 22 years ago from a man in Eugene that informed me that he had purchased the vehicle from the original owner in Klamath Falls Oregon in which the protecto plate does state that it was sold new in that city. after owning the vehicle for several years I sold it to a friend of mine and a few years back he needed to sell the truck so I bought it back The paint had a few blemishes in it so I had it stripped to metal. The body shop that painted the truck called me in to look at the truck when it was down to bare metal The painter and I were amazed that the truck had never had any prior damage. In the bottoms of the front fenders in the rear section there was some minor rust about the size of quarters which the body man repaired and welded in the same guage metal and painted the truck in a very nice base coat clear coat paint job. this truck has a very straight body and the paint looks good. I recently I had the bed redone in a beautiful oak finish with polished stainless steel slates. To me the only down falls about this truck is that the headers are dented underneath and the interior is nice but somewhat dated and I believe a truck of this magnitude needs a nicer interior. The truck does have alot of chrome add ons which was done along time ago and it still looks good but has some flaws in a few of the pieces. Mechanically the truck runs and drives good although it is hardly driven and has been kept in storage most of its life. I do have the original owners manual protecto plate and some receipts. Overall not an outstanding #1 show piece but a very nice high quality well perserved short wide truck that I believe is priced fair at my buy it now price of $15,000. or bid and maybe you might get it for less do fell free to call with any other questions at 541-683-4949 and the word is out locally that the truck is for sale therefore I do want to reserve the right to sale the subject vehicle during or before the end of the auction. On Sep-03-10 at 22:53:08 PDT, seller added the following information: My reserve is much lower than the buy now price although I feel as though the truck is worth the buy now price so please bid this maybe an excellent buy for the enthusiest of this type of truck. thanks
