Vehicle Detail
I have an extremely solid & what could be a pretty cool project car. 1967 Ford Country Sedan (galaxie) wagon (6 passenger only no 3/4th seats in rear). Car is from out west (Idaho) & now again was "barn-fresh" when I found it as well (solid inside out & underneath) - please come view in person. The engine I was told is from a newer mustang 302 ci./5.0 liter w/serpentine belt system, but retains a 2 barrel intake/carb (carb needs rebuild, choke is inop & won't idle unless you hold choke closed) motor sounds good no noises or smoke - but has a pretty bad shake I think is caused by wrong flexplate (ford used 28oz. flexplate on 81-earlier 302's & 50oz. flexplate on 81-later). I haven't driven the car on the road, but it does go into gear & moves fine (automatic transmission). Somebody installed a shifter on the floor (looks like an early mustang?) The interior is needing re-done as well (headliner, seat covers, dashpad has cap so probably needs it also, etc...). I believe from sitting the power drum brakes could use some attention as well (stops, but low pedal? & I never drove down the road). The gas tank was taken out & re-done (coated inside/out) warrantied by gas tank renu (cost $227).Yes it needs work & I personally wouldn't drive it home = bring a trailer and/or have someway to bring it home. I hate to let it go, I had big plans for this wagon (solid, no roof rack or woodgrain! hard to find & a little rare too). I do have new door weathrips in the packages I believe for all 4 doors that go also. As you can see reserve is $1700 - but once 1st bid is made, the "buy it now" of $2500 goes away. I do have a clear title in my name. Even with all the work could be a neat "old school" cruiser w/nice old slotted wheels & good B.F. Goodrich radial T/A's. Has the patina you could be wanting? may polish up better? but is definitely solid & cheap enough if you want to do a good paint job by not needing expensive or time consuming body work! These long roof/stationwagons are in high demand lately & also hard to find this solid & this cheap - could be a rat rod, tow vehicle, and/or whatever you decide. Was originally A/C car, but underhood stuff is gone. Lights, am radio & power rear window in the 2-way tailgate all work. I won't ship this car & I definitely want you to come & view in person just so you know what you're getting into. I want to deal in person w/cash. Please look at the pictures and if you need any more info or more pictures just call Chuck @ (810)208-0933 Thanks for looking @ my old Ford. *I have talked & shown vehicle to a few of you & would like to again say NO it is NOT roadworthy = please bring a trailer and/or some way to get it home, no I haven't driven down the road myself what you see is how I bought it (I swapped in the wheels though). I also did lower buy it now price because I thought I had it sold for a buyer that wanted to go through EBAY & then He still hasn't hit the buy now - probably hoping to get it for $1700? either way I do believe it's a bargain even with all the work. I would be happy to show more and tell more if needed? The glass is good (tinted for original A/C equipped), tires good shape, again PLEASE COME VIEW IN PERSON. Thanks, Chuck
