Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 2001 Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDi. The car has 178850 (subject to change as I am still driving the car) miles on it. The car has the following packages: cold weather package, moonroof (luxury) and, monsoon package. I have owned this car since new. It has never let me down, nor failed to get me where I'm going. The car has many great features and upgrades to aid in mileage, drivability, and comfort. First and foremost is an Upsolute computer chip upgrade. This not only gives the car more power, it also improves mileage! I have gotten as high as 54 miles per gallon from this car! My lowest mileage to date is 39 mpg. I typically see between 650-750 miles per fill up! Second on the upgrades list is a Diesel Geek short shift kit. This reduces front and back shift "throws" by 20%. The car also has Wet Okole seat covers installed on the front and rear seats. I also have the center arm rest cover as well. The car has velour fabric under the covers which looks brand new. I am including two sets of wheels both with good tires. First is a set of 16" VW alloy wheels with "summer" tires. The stock 15" alloy wheels have Nokian Hakka 2 snow tires with approximately 16,000 miles on them. Additionally, I am including a brand new set of all-season tires for the 15" wheels. I am also including a comprehensive service manual from Bentley Publishers. With this manual, you can take apart and put together the whole car! The following items I have had replaced in the last 4 years: Turbo - replaced 40,000 miles ago Waterpump, Timing Belt, Accessory Belt - replaced 20,000 miles ago Oil Pan - 10,000 miles ago Front & rear brakes - 3000 miles ago The turbo failed due to an oil line blow-out. The waterpump's plastic impeller spun off. The new impeller is metal and should not need to be replaced for at least 160,000 miles. The oil pain is aluminium and broken when I hit a rock on a dirt road. I immediately shut the car down to prevent the car from running without oil. The car has 1 spot of rot (see pictures) on the passenger side front fender. My daughter ran a rock down the side of the car and scratched it (see pictures). There are also a couple of paint chips on the roof near the doors, and windshield.
