Summer is fully here, the weather is beautiful, and Fall is on the way, with the promise of beautiful foliage! Sounds like it's time to take a spin around the countryside in a fun little convertible! This little Datsun "Fairlady" roadster is a lot of fun to drive and gets a lot of looks while you are doing it. The car is in excellent condition and is about 93% original. The interior is in great shape but could use some new carpets. The seats have been reupholstered with a cloth center, instead of vinyl, making it much more comfortable to drive on sunny days. The chrome wheels are new, but are very reminiscent of the original equipment. As with any car over forty years old there are a few things that need attention; but most things are functioning properly and the car is very drivable (I have taken it out on many long drives, in the country, this Summer). The Speedometer works great, but the Odometer is not functioning. The Fuel Gauge also does not function; but, I will include a new Fuel Gauge Sending Unit, which may fix the problem. The tires are ten year old 165SR14 with most of the tread intact (the previous owner rarely drove the car). The exterior is straight with just a few very minor imperfections in the paint and body; all the chrome and other moldings are attached and in great shape. The previous owner owned the car for ten years and kept it garaged, except for the few times (sunny days only) he drove it. Overall the car looks great and drives great! I have the soft top, with new rear window plastic, for it; but have never used it. I also have an uninstalled aftermarket roll bar that will fit this car. There previous owner also installed a Sony model CDX-1200 FM/AM CD player in the glove box with speakers discretely placed behind the seats. I have driven this car a great deal last Spring, Summer and into the Fall, as well as this Spring and Summer; and had a blast doing it! Rarely was the time when I didn't have somebody stop and ask me about the car and tell me how great it looked; I also got many a "Thumbs Up" while driving out on the road. I have taken the car to a number of Datsun car events, as well as other car shows, and have received many complements on the car at all of them. This car turns heads! This car may be a "daily driver" now; but, with just a little more attention it will be a trophy winner at the car shows.
