This 300E Sportline had an MSRP of $52,580 and that was in 1992 dollars !!! THE HISTORY The Mercedes 300E Sportline has only 88,473 miles on it... That's ONLY 6k miles driven per year... it’s practically Brand New for a Mercedes!!! The VIN is WDBEA30EXNB661917. It was built at the Sindelfingen Assembly Plant in Germany and imported into the USA at the Port of Jacksonville in Florida in November of 1991. It was sold Brand New by Marlin Imports Star Motors Mercedes Benz (today known as Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale) in Fort Lauderdale Florida in January of 1992 with just 13 miles on the odometer to the original owners who lived in Fort Lauderdale Florida. These first owners kept it serviced at the MB Dealer. In Florida, up until a few years ago, required every vehicle to have an emmissions inspection each year. The CarFax shows these inspections being passed every year with dates and mileages. We have the stamped service booklet which lists the dates and mileages when the vehicle went in for it's early services. This original owner enjoyed this 300E for over TWELVE YEARS (talk about long term ownership) and only accumulated 23k miles during those twelve years. Finally in August of 2004, this original owner traded the 300E with just 23,032 miles on the odometer at Autohaus Mercedes Benz of Pompano in Pompano Beach Florida on a brand new E Class they had for sale. Mercedes Benz of Pompano had no trouble finding a new owner for this stunning and rare 300E Sportline and on September 18th of 2004 the vehicle began to make its second owner happy. This second owner lived in Boca Raton Florida which is an affluent area. After enjoying this 300E for just under six years (another long term owner), this second owner decided it was time for another vehicle. It was taken to CarMax in Fort Lauderdale Florida and traded in on a Mercedes CLK they had for sale. CarMax offered it to me and I purchased it to offer for sale here on eBay. THE CONDITION The overall exterior condition of the vehicle is very good, especially considering the age of the vehicle. No major exterior damage exists on the car itself, but it does have a few minor scuffs, some very fine and very minor scratches, and some touched up stone chips as you would expect on a vehicle half, or even a third, of this age. The interior is beautiful... some very minor wear does exist... but like that of a 40k mile car. I have two master keys, one spare key, the owners manuals, the original window sticker, the original first aid kit, and the front carpet floormats. The tires on this Mercedes are all matching P205/65R15's and have 9/32nds of the tread life remaining. The engine starts right up, runs strong, and idles well. The transmission shifts as it should. The A/C blows strong, blows cold, and blows out of the proper vents. The headliner is loose but still in good shape which you can see from the photos. All the windows work. Occasionally the gas level gauge needle will flicker back and forth but then goes back to the proper spot. The original Becker radio works well. This 300E Sportline needs nothing except you as the new driver. This is a chance to have a Practically Brand New Mercedes 300E Sportline for a hugely reduced price. I have run the Carfax on this Mercedes and it came back PERFECTLY Clean with no accident history. It also notes the Carfax Buyback Guarantee.
