Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 100% original, PERFECTLY running 1962 C200 Honda scooter/motorcycle. It is incredible how nice this thing starts, rides, and is just plain fun!! I actually listed it several months ago, prior to getting it running, and have really enjoyed it this past summer. I really hate to part with it, because it is actually a quite handy and economical means to scoot around the neighborhood, but with fall and winter coming, and other projects unfinished, I just "gotta make some room in the barn!" I have had this little gem for about 10 years, just sitting around, and after a thorough carb cleaning and new plug, it fired up on the first kick! The really neat thing is that EVERYTHING else works, too...even the horn and somewhat goofy little aftermarket? turn signals. Most of the chrome and plated parts cleaned up pretty well, also. This litle bike would be a perfect candidate for a really nice restoration, seeing as how it is in pretty much a pristeen, unmolested condition. The only non-oem part on this thing is the little mini fuel filter that I installed between the tank and the carb, just in case there was some unseen rust or debris in the tank. So far, none has appeared. All things considered, this is really a neat little bike, so....Thanks for looking and Good Luck Bidding! On Aug-19-10 at 19:27:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I was aked in a message earlier if I had Illinois title to the bike, which I do NOT. I bought the bike at a farm auction/estate sale in Union Grove, Wisconsin about 10 years ago and never received a title. I have never entertained the idea of leaving the neighborhood with the bike, so have never looked into title and/or registration so can't tell a prospective buyer how to even go about getting a title and registration, should one so desire. Sorry for any confusion.
