Vehicle Detail

PHS documented 1965 GTO Hardtop for auction. Body and paint are in beautiful condition as you can see in the pictures. Interior is in very good condition. Motor is a non matching Pontiac that has seen better days. Fine for a short drive but I wouldn't take on a long trip. My plan was to remove the motor and trans and convert it to a modern set up with a newer engine and a 6 speed transmission. You could also find a 389 Pontiac motor and carb and go old school. But original motor is gone. New tires all around. Front are 14" rear ar 15" on Rally II wheels. old Goat needs: Radio, speed-o cable replaced (included), Headliner replaced (included), brakes need to be checked as car pulls to left when braking. Sounds like there is a leak from the heaters and probably needs a gasket replaced. the good: the paint is a beautiful teal color, the chrome is in excellent condition, the glass is all good. Lights and signals all work. New wood dash insert. New fan shroud included. People go nuts checking out this car. It's a really sharp looking goat! I don't have the time required to replace or repair the motor so up for auction it goes. You will not see many of these 65's for this money! Car is located in Bottineau, North Dakota. That's right I said North Dakota!Better get a map. email or call with questions. I would highly recommend that if you want this car that you use the Buy It Now option as the Buy It Now Option is automatically removed once the reserve is met and it's possible the selling price could exceed the Buy It Now price. This is not a $100K, 50K, or even $25K GTO but I do certainly think it's worth the money I'm asking. Check out the book values on-line. Thanks! Wheels are missing 3 of 4 chrome trim (beauty) rings,, I will see if I can locate some. They are not too hard to find. The chrome trim that goes around the wheel wells are also missing and available on eBay for $188. The car is also missing the chrome rocker molding that goes under the doors. These are also available on eBay for $58 each. The car will look much more finished outside once these chrome items are in place. On Aug-19-10 at 14:21:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: I took some photos under the goat. As you can see there is some surface rust. No holes or crumbling metal. If one wanted to detail underneath you would just need to give the metal a light sanding and paint. I personally never cared what my car looked like underneath. The trunk looks real good and just needs a mat. Thanks!
