Vehicle Detail

This car represents the last production era of the famous Ford Model T. An original one owner car was originally restored. The engine and running gear is completely redone. The same is true for the paint, upholstery and convertible top. There was never any rust on body panels, fenders, doors, etc. There is new safety glass in the windshield which opens for extra breezes. The carburetor is the late production "Vaporizer" or also called a Holley Hot Plate. It has been completely restored with all new internals. The famous Model T timer is a new old stock (NOS) piece. The ignition coils have been rebuilt using modern solid state capacitors. All wiring is new and properly color coded. The ignition switch and ammeter are original. The ammeter has a Ford script inside and a flat nickel surfaced rim outside (a 1926 feature). Ford Motor Company did not offer accessories for the Model T until this 1926 Model T was introduced. Most Ford dealers equipped these touring cars with genuine Ford accessories before sale. The assortment of options was small and really adoptable to open Model T cars. The list includes a top boot, wire spoked wheels with plated caps and lug nuts. These particular wire wheel hubs are fitted with new bearings and seals. The wheels are fitted with the correctly sized tires and tubes. These are 440-450 x 21 balloons. The rear hubs also have the great safety feature of Rocky Mountain Brakes. The Ford offered plated front and rear bumpers added a certain degree of class to the Model T. The most noticeable option is the brightly plated radiator shell and lower apron trim. The bright headlight rims accentuate this feature. Another small popular accessory is the NOS genuine dash light mounted to the right of the ignition switch ammeter. 1926 Model T Touring cars equipped with these genuine accessories were officially known as Sport Tourings. An actual copy of the Ford Motor Company advertising for these models is documented in The Model T For Club of America Vintage Ford Magazine Volume #2 Number 6, 1972. This 1926 Model T Sport Touring is ready for show or travel. The reserve is set to a great buy in today's market. Let me know if you have any further questions.
