Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1973 GTV 2000 Alfa Romeo coupe. I am selling this car for a friend. He wants to get a convertible so he decided it was time to sell the Alfa. This is a great car. It has been repainted at some point before he bought it but it is was painted the original color. It has a completely rebuilt motor with only 4640 miles on it since the rebuild. The transmission was not rebuilt but it has been removed, serviced, and resealed. The motor was a complete rebuild. It has been balanced. It has a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out berring. It also has a new water pump. It has auto cross cams and dual Webber DOCE 2 barrel side draft carbs which cost $1000. The Webber conversion kit was $1500. The original fuel injection system was removed. It is been upgraded with a lot of race parts. The head was completely rebuilt as well. Everything works on the car except the radio. The original radio is in it but it does not work. The owner said he never wanted to listen to it, he just liked to hear the engine when he was driving. The driver's seat is a special seat that has been added to the car. It is a special sport driving seat. The seat and the new upholstery alone cost over $1100. The original seat goes with it as well. The front seats have been reupholstered with the original OEM material. The restoration job on them is excellent. This car has a clean Washington title with collector plates. If buyer were from Washington the plates would transfer and stay with the car eliminating the need to ever purchase tabs as long as the classic car plate rules were followed. The current owner has owned this car for approximately 8 years. The original wheels were missing when he purchased it so he put a very nice set of Panasport aluminum wheels on it. The tires are in great shape. He has spent a lot of time and money on this car and loves it greatly. But, he feels that it is time to upgrade to a convertible. Some of the the things that have been done to the car are as follows. The radiator is original but has been recored. $400 worth of Bilstein shocks have been added to the car, both front and rear. All of the exhaust studs have been replaced with brass studs. The radiator hoses have been replaced. A $285 chrome performance header was added. The car has $215 worth of new GTV spider performance springs. A new $300 electronic distributor was added. It has an added oil cooler. As you can see by the undercarriage pics the car has no rust and has not been wrecked. This car had been well maintained with the proper fluids and has had very good care taken of it. The owner has all receipts and has mechanical specs from upgraded parts as well. He also has the complete wiring diagram for the car. The transmission and motor mounts have been replaced. There are many sources to obtain any parts or upgrades that the new owner may want to make. This is a very good condition car. It has been well taken care of and was upgraded with quality parts by very reputable shops. Funding for car is to be by wire transfer or cash in person. Seller can help with transport if buyer is from out of the area. Car is available to be seen in Spokane, WA if anyone would like to see it.
