We bought this Jeep from the original owner in 1978 with 18,370 miles on it. We have the service records and dates of all work done. It has never been wrecked or modified for rough off-road use. This Jeep has been used for pleasure driving around our home and hauled on a trailer to southern Colorado on summer trips. We've used it on the 4-wheel drive trails sightseeing and never in competition. This Jeep is all original with a Buick V-6 engine. It has not been restored but well maintained, replacing parts and etc. when needed. Because of some cracks in the frame the body was pulled off in June 2001. Repairs made to the frame: spring bushings, brake lines, and etc. were placed. The body was stripped and repairs made, sand blasted and painted by a bodyshop. A new fabric top and doors were put on at this time. The only modification was changing the clutch and brake pedals to the later model, swinging pedals. The differentials and drivelines are in good shape. The transmission and transfer case needs rebuilding. The Jeep has Warner cut-out hubs and a Warner overdrive unit.
