Fun fun fun ! Just back from a track day at Willow Springs, with the quintessential piece of British hooptie. I can say that, because I own it, drive ot, repair it, and can't catch the Porsches with it , or much else for that matter. It was an older "unprofessional" restoration, but a very solid car. Absolutely no rust, and I left it on the trailer so I could get underside pics a little easier. Currently has only 1 carb, which accounts for why I can't catch a Rambler. It needs a new dash cover, a new console cover, a new paint job, new carpet, and that is about it. Solid, reliable(as any Brit car), new tires, albeit, with a little less tread, left at Willow, it is a very good and decent car for a proper GOOD restoration project.
