**FIRST TIME OFFERED!** **** 1964 CHEVROLET IMPALA CONVERTIBLE**** Here is a really beautiful Impala in great condition I drove this wonderful convertible over to the Dairy Queen cruise, and it was a pleasure to drive. Ran cool in 90 plus degree weather. The combination of the tried and true 327 small block with an automatic power glide transmission is unbeatable. I was proud to drive it and you will be too. This generation of Chevy's are some of the most desired cars of all time. They are time tested, reliable and a blast to drive. Turned a lot of heads! NO RESERVE!!! Lots of convertible weather left! GREAT INVESTMENT CAR. CERTAINLY BETTER THAN MONEY IN THE MARKET. You can't drive your portfolio to the cruise in! Take a good look at the pictures of this beautiful Impala. It is a solid original car that has given and will continue to give, great service. The interior is excellent from the seat covers and dash to the panels and rug. The emblem in the center of the steering wheel has a few hairlines in it. It is a very comfortable car and seat belts have been added. The motor compartment could use some detailing. The carb looks like a good cleaning is in order. I don't know if the "numbers match". I was told the engine numbers are on the back of the engine somewhere. I'll let you make that determination. It is an original V8 Palomer Red car according to the vin and body tags. It has been refinished with what looks to be base coat clear coat. The undercarriage is really solid. It has had a few spots patched along the way, but it was done right and coated well after the repair. I don't think this car will ever rust. The brightwork is really nice. The bumpers have been redone and the stainless is original and nice. The mirrors have been replaced. The top moulding across the windshield top is also really nice. The white top works perfectly and is not very old and gives the car a great top up look. A black top just doesn't cut it in my opinion so I am in total agreement with the previous owner's decision to install a white top. Black is great for the interior because it doesn't get as soiled and dirty looking as white. The top is excellent with two exceptions. A small rub spot of about 2 inches right at the drivers windshield. You can't see it in the pictures. There is a place on the right rear near the fender where the top needs reconnected to the body. Nothing major. The back window is like new. The bump in my driveway makes it look like it's sitting low in the back. It really isn't. As my feedback indicates, I tell it like it is when describing these classic cars. I spend more time on what's bad than what's good. Although this car is a fine example and looks like a 40 grand car, it isn't quite that nice. Here are few items that need repairing. The wipers are not working. I will take a quick look and see what I can find. I'll fix it if I can, if not I'll let you know what I find. Aftermarket radio is also not working. May be a fuse. Again I'll look at it and see what I can find. I didn't have time to get to these items before Saturday when I list my vehicles. The motor runs without raps or taps or smoke. The car has been rarely used the last few years, so a tune up will be in order. She runs a little rough like plugs, wires and a carb clean would help. H.E.I. or High Energy Ignition has been added. I would not be afraid to jump in this car and drive it any where at any time! One thing that is driving me nuts about this car. It has a complete replaced dual exhaust with two big "cherry bombs" as mufflers. I believe the baffles in the mufflers have deteriorated and they have a rattle that holds back the good sound of the engine. Any muffler shop can make an easy fix of it. You may not care about it. If I was keeping it, I'd have to get them fixed or replaced so you can get that great V8 sound back. The exhaust is not all rusty, so the repair will be easy. It has two wire wheel covers on the front and two ss hubcaps on the back. There are 3 spinners in fair condition in the trunk. So a nice set of matching wheel covers will be in order. The prep work on the body could have been a little better to make the car as straight as she could be. The pictures show that it is really a nice job though. The paint shines like new. I am overly critical so you can have the best description I can give. Simply put, if you buy it, you WILL love it. I do. My wife wants me to keep this one. ALL IN ALL, THIS GORGEOUS IMPALA IS MONEY IN THE BANK AND A CAR YOU WILL LOVE EVERY DAY YOU OWN IT!
