You are bidding on a rare 1982 short wheel base 230 G which, according to the service records, spent its first 25 years south of Zurich Switzerland. It was imported into the United States in 2007. It arrived in good condition but required front axle wheel bearing replacement which was performed at a Mercedes service center. It also received a new set of Borbet CW-D alloy wheels complete with BF Goodrich 33x10.50 MT tires with less than 250 miles on them now. The 5 original steel wheels with tires are included. The thick steel body is in excellent condition with only minimal decomposition along the bottom of the rear door and in front of the rear wheels along with a small dent below the rear window on the driver's side. All interior fixtures are fully functional and in remarkably good shape. Unlike later models this truck has a fully synchronized transfer case. In other words, the four speed gear box combined with the 2 speed transfer case give the driver 8 consecutive forward gears complete with independent, manual, hydraulic locking differentials front and rear. The factory original service record manual and owners manual are included as are the original first aid kit located in the foot well of the passenger front seat and the halon fire extinguisher mounted over the rear wheel well behind the driver. This truck surpasses the Missouri vehicle inspection and is licensed in the state. It has a clear title with no liens, flood, or salvage history.
