Vehicle Detail

I have a very nice example of a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix model J. It is equipped with the Pontiac 400 engine and TH400 auto trans. It has the Pontiac rally wheels , dual side view mirrors, console shift, front buckets, A/C (compressor and condensor removed though), power steering and brakes, dual exhaust. It is silver with a black vinyl top and a black interior. DRIVETRAIN: Car run and drives good. Engine was rebuilt at 115,000. Exhaust system (dual) is 4 years old. Just completed work includes...NEW gel cell battery, fuel pump, HEI distributor, and plug wires. Lights/ wipers and misc seem to be in working order. Car had been sitting for 3 years and could use a little carb work...it is running rich. INTERIOR: Door panels, front seats, dash pad, console and headliner are all in excellent condition and need nothing. Carpet is in very good cond for as old as it is. Rear seat is splitting at the seams in a few places, but could be easily fixed. Rear package shelf does look a bit ratty and could use to be replaced. EXTERIOR: Paint is in good cond and still shines. It does have some scuffs that need to be wheeled out. Rust is starting to pop thru at the front of the drivers door, both rear qtrs, and at the roof/a pillar on the drivers side. According to previous owner, car was repainted 15years ago and was originally black. They did a good job as to take everything off the car and paint everywhere. Vinyl top is in fair to good cond, but has shrunken and started to peel up around the rear window. Trunk lock is missing, as is the key for the door locks. Chrome is good and straight, but showing signs of slight pitting headlight bezels and low on the bumpers. UNDERCARRIAGE: Frame is solid. Drivers floorboard has a small rust area (about where your feet go) and the trunk has a small soft area (approx 1"x3"), other than that the under side is clean. OVERALL: This is a car that is nice enough to drive around as-is or an excellent canidate for modding or restoration. Feel free to Email with any other questions you may have
