Vehicle Detail
If you're ready for a little top down California Dreamin', look no further. This is a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible in the finest tradition. The body is rust free and was repainted 3 years ago. All the plastic body moldings are in perfect condition and in tact. At the same time the briliant white automatic convertible top was replaced. It has a glass rear window. The supple red leather interior is breathtaking. Last year I put $7000 into the engine replacing anything that even looked like it could cause trouble. I even redid all the wiring to counteract any unseen corosion. And, I replaced the aging suspension to preserve that unique Cadillac ride. The tires are in B+ condition. The car also has a hidden sound system with a 500 watt amp in the trunk with a woofer. Custom speakers are build into the back of the seats, CD player and a remote control are in the glove box. None of this shows so the car looks 100% original. It has a 60/40 split front seat. Driver and passenger sides are both power. It has a 500cui engine and runs well. I recently drove it from San Francisco to Palm springs and back (800 miles each way) with absolutley no problems. I also have red leather soft boot for when the top is down. What's wrong with it: There is a slight bit of rust on the rear bumper near the lisence plate. However, the part is an insert and can be replace without redoing the entire bumper. There are some cracks in the interior, mainly on the passenger arm rest, driver seat near the head rest and two on the dash... Nothing major and the car does NOT need to be re-upholstered. The power locks do not work (needs cellanoid) and the right rear power window sometimes needs a helping hand. I have also dissconected the air conditioning although it does work. And, a turn signal light is out on the dash although the indicator light on the exterior of the car does function. So why buy my 1973 Eldo Convertible over the rest? It's simple: I don't want to sell it. I runs great, I love the attention when I'm driving it and it makes me feel good to be behind the wheel of such a magestic vehicle. But I still owe a little money on it, I'm tired of paying for storage (I live in the city) and I have taken a real hit in this economy. So, my favorite toy has to go. I'm setting a low reserve and will entertain all offers from qualified buyers. I want to make this easy for you. Serious buyers only please. My name is Peter and my phone number is 415.786.4580.
