TDI TDI TDI This is my daily driver. When I got it I drove 60 miles one way to work and I really needed the great mileage that this car gets. After about 9 months we moved closer to work for me, about 35 miles one way and the great mileage capability of this car was still a benefit. I recently purchased a new Jetta TDI and still get that great mileage. I wanted to have a newer car that would be paid off by the time I retire and that was the purpose of buying the new Jetta. The Bettle comes with 2 sets of tires and wheels. In the photos you will see the car with both types. The after market wheels/tires have only had 2 summers of driving on them so they are realtively new. The OEM wheels/tires have probably another year on them, but I would consider getting two new ones for the winter ahead, but then that is me. I bought this car NEW from Ed Schmidt VW outside of Toledo, Ohio. That is also where I bought my new Jetta from. The car has had its oil changed every 5 to 6,000 miles even though VW specifies that 10,000 miles between oil changes is what is required. Drivers door has a slight dent on the edge of it where the wind got hold of it and pulled it out of our hand and into a guardrail. The front fascia and fenders in the front have lots of very small rock chips which is normal for a car with tihs many miles. Good news is that those pieces are all plastic so there is nothing to rust. Passenger window goes down about 1/2 way. Sometimes the drivers window needs a little push with my hand to close. The car has BRAND NEW FRONT BRAKES (pads and rotors), litterally brand new! Just installed. AM/FM radio - FM works great, AM just ok. Has a cassette tape player that I have never used and assume that it works just fine. Interior is in GREAT shape. There are no tears in the any of the interior. Check the photos/video out. I usually drive about 50 to 60mph over the 35 miles I drive to work. If the car doesn't get at least 650 to 700 miles per tank (usually 50mpg) I am disappointed. Fill it up to the top and drive. If you have a lot of city driving your mileage may vary. My driving is mostly 2 lane country roads with a few stop lights and stop signs as well as a few small towns where the speed limit drops to 35 to 45. I just got the car back from Bakers Diversified Vehicle Technology, http://www.bakersdiversified.com/home.html , where I had them go through the cars computer and fix a couple of items that were causing the check engine light to come on. For a TDI, check engine indicates something electrical/sensor. In my case the solenoid that controls the dump to the turbo needed replacing as well as one of the engine temperature sensors. All brand new and replaced. The check engine light is no longer on. The car is available for inspection and test drive. Please do this BEFORE you bid. Once the auction ends, winning bid owns the car. I am a NON-SMOKER, so the car has never been smoked in. There is a rattle that can be heard at idle but when the driving or increasing the RPM the rattle stops. Since I don't live in the car at idle and I drive it all the time it doesn't bother me. Based on the driving I am doing, I would expect at least another 500 miles by the time the auction is over. The buyer understands that this car is a used car and is sold as is. I don't know. Good question. I have posted a scanned image of the title that indicates that I bought the car from Ed Schmidt VW with 47 miles on it. that is the same mileage that Ebay shows when the car was first titled. Why they show two owners is beyond me.
