To start with it is not a V-8 it is a 258 6cyl. for some reason I can't change that. This is going to be a long description so please bear with me, I just want to be completely honest so there are no surprises. I bought this back in March of this year and started working on it. I have included some pics of what it looked like when I started to give you an ideal of how much work I've done on it. I know everyone from the first owner of this Jeep so I knew it's history before I got it. It is the original body with no rust or patches ANYWHERE that was one of the selling points when I bought it. Tub is rhino lined. Has chrome front and rear housing covers that I put on when re-building them. Locking after market center console with keys. Has a 3" body lift(when I got it) and 6" greasable shackles( about 4" actual) so about 7" overall. Before I go any further let me clarify that the doors, dash, and strip on the bottom are NOT aluminum, they are a decal and the doors are sheet metal behind it. the only reason I made those is my wife wouldn't ride in it without a door.(it's a jeep go figure?)LOL The diamond plate on the rear is real though. Power steering, disc brakes. The paint is new but not perfect, Great 20 footer but about 1 hour after being painted it was outside and it started raining, it's not real bad I just want to be honest. It has a brand new carb, radiator, and battery under the hood. I didn't do anything to the motor because it runs like new, no smoke, rattling, or unusual noises. I made the roll bar over the back seat and included shoulder belts on it. The seat is out of a Raider and is a fold & tilt. Has cam-loc front belts. The bikini top is the only one I have with it as I never planned on driving except on pretty days. All the lights work as good if not better than new, the headlights are projectors with city lights, the front fog lights are halos and the little strips you see on the front lower fenders are an LED turn signal that I added. Stainless steel accessories include mirrors and arms, grill guard, stone guards on turn signals, headlights, brake lights, and upper fog lights, also the cowl vent, hood hinges and hardware are ss. Also the gas filler cover is ss. Aluminum knobs on the switches and vent cables, heavy duty chrome windshield knobs, all indicator lights replaced with NEW. Also has new shifter boots and Hurst shift handles. Sunpro guages(new), the speedometer doesn't work!!(the only thing on this jeep that doesn't). 33-12.50/15 Thornbirds on 10" MT's, you also get a set of American racing black wagon wheel rock crusher wheels(like the spare) with another spare, so you are getting 2 sets of wheels and 6 tires total. Older pioneer cd, Cobra 29 tweeked out cb. 258 6cyl., t176 4-speed, d300 transfer case, amc20 rear with one piece conversion axles, dana30 front. 4wd and everything on this thing work perfect except the speedometer. Also has a new gas tank & lines and I used the liner in the tank also. Frame is perfect. I'm sure that I'm forgetting something as I have spent $ and worked on it for the last 4 months. I am not calling it a frame off restoration but you can scrutinize it all you want if I'm not honest about any part of it you can have it!!! The one of the engine isn't all that great(lense was foggy) I got one of the new tranny and the front & rear ends. The red you see in some of them is not rust, it's red clay(afterall I do live in TN.) The front seatbelts are actually 5 point cam-loc but I only used 3, you will receive the others in case you want to use them. Also the passenger seat has a little rash on it from when my grinder got away from me before they were installed and sitting too close to what I was doing. Everything was fine but the alternator was borderline so I will be replacing it tomorrow with a new one. So there's another new part for the winner. It was also pointed out that I didn't mention the new tranny in the description, sorry about that but there's just so much to try to remember about this I get lost. Also if you are the winner and it will help you out on getting it home, I have a brand new adjustable tow bar I will throw in free and I can weld tabs on the front bumper for you so all you have to do is put the tranny & transfer case in neutral and pull it with your own truck instead of renting a trailer.
